Got started doing the install today. It's all in and complete, these pictures were obviously taken before we cleaned up all the cables etc etc.... but you get the idea.

Please note that i'm NOT a poof and that box IS temporary, currently in the middle of designing and building a custom fiberglass enclosure complete with false floor, clear perspex & some other fancy dooby stuff so keep your eyes open :)

yeah the box is way too big, but i'm off on holidays this Thursday and I needed something to have them in before i leave, cos I'll be buggered if i'm driving from coff's harbour -> brisbane by myself with no tunes :)

good work there with ur gear but personnelly i would not have amps on the sub box getting the **** vibrated out off them will only lead to problems in the amps

Nice work. :D Have you thought about porting those subs? The type Rs can absolutely hammer in the right enclosure.

i think they prefer small, sealed enclosures.
1 cubic foot sealed each should be ideal.

Ahh the type R's, you like? I had them before and loved them. I had them in a fairly small enclosure:

Install looks the goods too :)

Have you ever heard them in a ported set up? Just ask Critter about "the little mouse" and he'll tell you what the type R prefers.

yeah i'm quite happy with them, though I'll be a lot happier when I get the proper box finished and the install finalised :) This is just a temp box i borrowed from a mate for the drive :)

I forgot how much power that big bastard of a kenwood amp draws, drove to work this morning at 5:30 and cranked it for a few seconds on the highway only to see my dashboard and headlights almost dim to off :P

looks like a sweet set up, can't wait to see your fiberglass enclosure when you get it done.

man it doesnt really matter where in the boot you put your amps, there still gonna get the sh!t rattled though them. Most good quality amps are made to take that treatment anyway.

Bung-eye: youve got to love the way everyone took notice when you said it was only a temp setup. :|
