Voft - my laptop is f&*ked again..... - Voft - very off f*&king topic

my laptop is giving me the ****S again. this time the external ps/2 mouse have refused to work. now i have to use the "nipple" thing, and i hated it with passion.

can anyone pls help? i have re-installed the "nipple" track point driver as well as the external mouse driver. i was told there should be an utility function/command which i can manually select the external mouse, but f&*ked if i now where to find that.

anyway, any advise/help will be GREATLY appreciated. :([/color:post_uid13]

[color=#336633:post_uid0]Hey Ezzy.....keep yer shorts on .Sorry to hear bout yer mouse ...Lets see if my experience as a Dell rep can help here.Let me see if i could tell you the steps i would take:

1. Try a diffrent mouse.Sounds simple but its something that could be overlooked.

2.You already re installed all the mouse drivers ...good.

3.Go into the BIOS and check to see if the external PS2 mouse is disabled or not(just incase someone messed wid your system).You can even disable the intigrtated pointing device to see if theres a conflict there.Usally you can get into the BIOS set up utility by pressing the F2 or del key during boot up but its * usally diffrent in most *computers.

4.If this doenst work then it has to be some sort of software conflict.....check to see what was the last thing you did before the mouse stopped working....(surffin for 323F porn?..:)...:P)It might be a program you just installed that grabbed the resources allocated to the mouse or summtin...just uninstall it.


6.If this fails then take the laptop in your left hand *then proceed to the highest building and dropp it.Then count how many times it bounced......i got to 3 and a half once...
