Robin lowered 60mm on 19" chromies with full bodykit and a RX7 twin turbo rotory driving the back wheels!! Woohoo... *

Although I REALLY don't think that turning any corners would be a good idea, LOL *:D[/color:post_uid0]

ok.

question: how much stuffing round do you have to do to get the oval shaped speakers(do they have a name?) into an astina?[/color:post_uid0]

MrShadow
17-04-2003, 02:08 PM
Ahh, question:
Shouldn't that be in the Audio section ???

Anyway, not much as the standards for your hatch are 7x5 front and rear. You have to pull off the door trim, apparantly it's 'only' a couple of screws, and you can get to it from there. Oh, and they're called, ahh ****, it's on the tip of my tounge. Will let you know.[/color:post_uid0]

Sandyman
17-04-2003, 02:11 PM
i know about accessing the speakers, just that the hole the speakers go into is round, where u need oval.[/color:post_uid0]

MrShadow

mrpayner
17-04-2003, 03:00 PM
I'd call it a hatch, i agree with you Bill.

Of the poll cars, they've got more arse than class. I think the shape of the 94-98 Astinas [both Hatch & Hardtop] are a classic little shape. You'd have trouble telling that the design is coming upto 10 years old. It still looks a good as [if not better] than some of the new cars arriving onto the market place today. Lancer is definately not the answer, not too keen on the new Corolla shape either, and there's no way that you'd ever see a Civic parked in my garage [even with the door closed! :p ]

Come on, your mates an ID10T.
The EB was a taxi and only just good enough
to do that job, let alone be a real car. The EB GT was a joke!!
The XB/XC Coupes are a thing of beauty. Especially
the Cobra's could be seen a mile away and looked
great coming at you. But even those cant compare
to a car designed by Porshe. The Astina has cred.
Just ask the chicks. Chicks love classy cars and how
many love the Astina. Heaps.

As for the 350z, sex on wheels. Notice how much the front
looks like a BA Hatch front......

yeah, i love a bit of XY GT with the radials, and big 351. also don't mind the monaro (fast-back design - HK???), as my cousin in sydney has had one since i was about 10...animal, pure animal.

but still none of them puppies can touch a good old s6 rx7- sweetest car ever made!!!!! and personally boys i think the rx8 looks more like the sex on wheels then the 350. the mazda is pure evil, and wait till mazda brings a real version of it out with wider rotor ports, or maybe an extra rotor!! awsome. prob is doesnt look liek mazda want to bring out a turbo version.

and mal, was the astina porsche developed?? wtf.[/color:post_uid0]

Think of a 928 - same sort of integrated bumpers and similar 'sharknose' frontend.

old V8s rock, think of the Italian Iso Grifo, or American Shelby Mustangs :)[/color:post_uid0]

Correct me if i'm wrong but doesn't Ford own Mazda? Or is it Visa Versa?

I know it's a completely different badge and everything but you know how it is. Ford isn't high up on the list of vehicles that I would own, but if someone handed me the keys to a Shelby GT500, a BA XRwhatever or even one of those spunky Focus RS's and told me to go nuts, i wouldn't mind driving it around.

I'm open to suggestion with vehicles, i don't mind trying new things.. The badge doesn't really matter as long as I enjoy and feel happy driving it. I'd even have a Volvo if it felt right at the time regardless of any opinions that are going around.

Anyways, it's 12:47am on Sunday morning, I'm going back to watching RAGE....

Majority of Australian youth against Ford - anyone who is "against" a car company for the sake of it is an fín wanker. And the majority of the population is not.

Onto the topic..... Class and EB do not belong in the same sentence. GT is a car i don't mind, and wouldn't mind having, but even that doesnt have class. Alfa 166 has class, AMGs have class, Maseratis have class, EB does not. Not that the Astina is a "classy" car, its just a "nice" car.[/color:post_uid0]

Well, it was great little car in the game. You know how nerds always treat thiongs in games and movies (ie Start Trek, Lord of The Rings) as though they were real?

I mean, why else would we have exploded diagrams of the ships in Star Wars showing the radar, engines etc???

theres already an old merc running around with a 13B in it. goes pretty hard 2 for a big heavy land barge.
