Just asking the Melbourne Astina owners, if they go to Ringwood or Penfold Mazda to get their car serviced, if they have any problems with them? I rang up Penfold Mazda and they were around $80 more expensive than Ringwood Mazda for the 40,000km serice ???
So what are your opinons guys... any comments would be appreciated! :)[/color:post_uid9]
i bought my car from penfold, and i'll never go back their again... worst ever customer service i've encountered... i get my car serviced at city mazda, only because i work around the corner from there... my mate works at ringwood mazda, and swears by their customer service and high quality work.
i think city mazda are the best, at least 80 cheaper for my 10000 service, and car has no probs...
up to you mate, try ultra tune or another respected service centre if you want it cheaper.
cheers,
Bill[/color:post_uid0]

if your car is out of warranty then take it wherever you want. altohogh i havent had any work done there autostyle in seaford are very intouch with mazdas. More so rotaries though.
my dad sais he has seen a turbo astina at his mechanic in cranbourne too the guy is from the other side of the city apparently so that cant be a bad thing either!
anyways the choice is yours!

i never had any problems with servicing at Penfolds. but i don't think they'll service my car now :;):[/color:post_uid0]
mmm..... me not a happy man today!
i know its off topic, and dont want to create a new topic for it, so here it is.
took the tt in for a service today, a standard 12mth type service is $520, it has to be done, so i had no choice. the thing is, this price did not inc. brake pads.
anyway, got a call from them about 30mins ago. the guy told me that i need new brake pads and......wait for it.....new disks. and i went WHAT? i asked the guys: are the disks part of warranty thing, as they are the hardware of the car?
he said no, because the pads and disks are made of soft compund and they to wear "together", and you have around 2000 to 5000km traveling left. and i went another "WHAT?!"
anyway, i asked how much they are, the prices are: front set: $750 and rear set: $760. so i said "WHAT!?!" again.
there is no way im going to spend $1500 for the pads and disks when the disks has to be replaced in another 50,000km or so. so i told them that i will get meself a set of 4 dba brakes. at least i know they are better and cost a whole loot less. less running cost anyway. and i will avoid the "brake" part of the warranty.
anyway....... * * *[/color:post_uid0]
