[color=#000000:post_uid0]My EL Dials finally went in this weekend.
was an easy job, *remove the trim to get to the dial cluster. Remove the bulbs. *Slide the new dials over the needles and needle mounts. Wire it up and put the trim back together.
The wires going into the cluster were labelled which was awesome. *THANK YOU MAZDA !!! :D
For reference, *the illumination wires were :
Red = negative
Red / Black = Positive
which came from the illumination dimmer. *It was the two middle wires in the back of the dimmer. *My dimmer plug went
Black
Red * * * * * * *(-ve)
Red/Black * * *(+ve)
Red/Yellow
( just in case someone wants to know which wires are for illumination :;): )
There is also a little control switch that comes from the inverter box. *It lets u further adjust the brightness, and change the color. *Mine go from blue to green.
