the sound is better than stock

connected the negative to the mouting bracket then to car body frame, went out for a drive, tried the horn several times, then stop, got out of the car, closed the door, oh wtf! i got electrified touching the door! it's not like those annoying static shock, this one is quite strong, assume 12V, my thumb hurts a lot, reminds me of some 220V shock before.

well, is this normal, i mean, after disconnect the (negative of) battery and connect again? or should i put a ground wire somewhere under the body and touch the ground or some sort like those old tricks?

i only got electrified once today though, out of 3 or 4 trips.

btw, broke 2 plastic brackets when getting rid of the front facial, and 3 bottom clips seemed not attached. well, the horn sounds better after all.

It's gotta be a lot more than 12V for you to get a shock, add a few zeros or a few amps.
You could try one of those earth straps that grand dad had on his HQ or gather a little more data than a once off event.

constantly getting the static/electrical thingy, but not as strong as the first time...

my questions is, is a "ground kit" gonna help? like this on on ebay:

i did notice that the stock horn doesn't have a grounding wire attached to the frame, i suppose a better grounding of the horn will eliminate the new-found free-of-charge electrical thingy disappear.

The bracket is the grounding point for the factory unit. If you have an electric motor as part of the unit then that should be well grounded.
