[SYD] WSID (Eastern Creek) - 6th Oct

Hey Guys,

Some of you may have read this on FL.com, but some may not have.

6th of October (yes next week) there has been a few of the guys organising to run their cars down the strip. I was planning to somethime this month, but brought my plans forward to fit in with the rest of the guys and have a whole group of us go.

I know how much of a pain it is to line up beside a 10-11sec V8. You can't hear a thing and it kinda takes all the fun out of it....so, if your planning on going soon, now is the time!!

Hope a few of you can come along, either as encouragement, or to run as well. Sorry for the late notice, but I am now a definate attendee to be running the astina. Going to see what I can get in FULL street trim.

i try work on something else... like getting the launch on him while he's wheel standing for half a sec....

i was against a 9.2sec v8

all i can say is WSID is alot stickier than the road... i had to launch at nearly 3,000RPM to stop from bogging down... my first night at WSID was definitely a learning experience...lol

Sorry :oops: hehehe. QLD is great this time of year...I just got back from there (Jamboree and just time off). Only got 5 days left of my 20 now....but it's worth it!

Wow! Excellent night....what can I say. Best night I've had in a long time, I was so impressed how the car when and also how my driving went!!

Runs in order
1: 14.037 @ 106.13MPH, 5:04pm
2: 13.975 @ 103.74MPH, 5:36pm
3: 14.109 @ 106.76MPH, 6:14pm
4: 14.008 @ 105.61MPH, 6.54pm
5: 13.952 @ 107.50MPH, 8:27pm
6: 14.035 @ 103.91MPH, 9:13pm

Consistency between 0.157 seconds and 3.76MPH. :D

I couldn't be happier with those results for the first time at the track in the astina and the 2nd time doing 1/4mile runs. Next time I'll have to take the stereo and rear seats and any other weight I can shed (approx 80KG) and see what I can do.
