Hi all,
when my tuning-specialist was workin on building new camshafts in my BA, he checked my engine code. And it seems that my engine (1.8 16v by the way) is a BP, and it should be a BF. I said that i thought all BA's had a BP engine. But he said that some car brands use this trick sometimes to get rid of the older model engines.
But well.. i really have an engine that belongs inside a BG.
But now i was wondering...
For as far as i know, the BG engine is about the same as the BP-T engine used in 323 GTX right? Well... isn't it posible for me to get all the turbo parts from a GTX and build it on my engine?

An engine swap is not really an option for me, because the garages in my country ask much higher prices than in your country, and i can't do it by myself... And i really really really want to turbocharge my BA!

So can you guys please help me, give me tips, or anything else ?!

BG in a BA :D

You got the better engine mate.

Hate to say it but a engine swap would be better. But you could turbo it i suppose, in theory.

You need a good mechanic and a good source of GTX engine parts/wiring/gearbox etc..

Good Luck :D

except for the V6s ;)

unless your engine is actually the 1.5, your tuning guy is mistaken!

BA's came with 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 4 cylinder engines depending on the area they were released to

and BG's came with BP blocks anyway - so i dont know where he's getting the BF bit from - thats a car model, not an engine model
