Hi,

Everyone got to know eachother a little better and us newbies got to know all you older AGT guys on the Fordlaser/AstinaGT cruise on the 24th October (Sunday.)

I was just thinking that we should do it again, but somewhere with a beach... (Cos it was so hot that day.) Maybe Noosa, Hervey Bay, NSW north coast. I'm up for any ideas, what do you guys n girls think?

Ryan

i think a better question at the moment is.

a) do we want to just cruise
b) do we want to have a spirited drive
c) do we wanna race etc?

I'd love a long drive somewhere nice, the beach would be awesome, some of the Northern NSW ones have some fun roads too, but any beach would be ok by me.

an afternoon gold coast hinterland spirited cruise then hang around for the BWCP to fire up sounds good to me.

some people might want to make a day of it. beach in the morning, lunch, then cruise and BWCP

mt nebo at night ... we can do all those at once ... keep everyone happy ... a spirited drive turns into a race ... no officer ... we were just cruising

i'll be up for it all in one day, it would be a nice cruise up the noosa tho.

All suggested ideas were great, I was thinking of a whole day cruise somewhere. Racing/cruising... Yes please...

1. Noosa Beach
2. Gold Coast Hinterland (maybe too hot the following summer months)
3. Northern NSW Coast
4. Tin Can Bay/Rainbow Beach

"WE" need to go somewhere that has multiple lane to the destination so we can pass eachother, and whoever wants to sprint to the destination can.

Keep all the good ideas coming.

Ryan

P.S. Who owns the silver hardtop BA 323astina? I got a pic of you belting it down the Mt Nebo roads.

Well, the 13th is a saturday, so I would be able to do a whole day and night cruise, don't have to be anywhere, so I would love to go spirited driving all day, beach for lunch(I love beach) and the BWCP thingy at night

Drive to Coffs Harbour, and meet up with Aaron and I while we are staying there.

Alternatively, we will be in QLD between Chrissy and New Year's.

New Year's at Byron Bay this year, w00t!!

Yeah I know,

I've tried to explain to Grim that Volvos aren't cool down this way...
Hmmm, are you sure it's drifting? Looks typical Volvo style to me, WATCHOUT! ..|..

Yep that'd be my hardtop, I was getting left behind by the hoon :P Bring on the belting now I can turn hard and get power down but I still like to cruise, and it'd be better to play at dusk to keep temps down, so we could still enjoy the drive during the day.
Theres some nice picturesque cruising to be had on route to Montville etc and plenty of twisties.Plus the added bonus of markets etc to keep us amused when we let the cars breathe
Ryan feel free to send me the pic via e-mail

how about u you all cruze to byron :) its only 2ish hours from brizzy it has beachs and a great view :)

the gold coast hinterland doent sound bad but which section? springbrook or mt tamorbine? my parents own a house right at the top the springbrook and the drive un there is fun :) not as steep as nebo/glorius but just as fun and the view from up there is f8&ken great, u can see all of the goldie from there front yard great for some photos...theres my 2c :)

I'm familiar with Tamborine, it's a nice drive for the most part, but differs a bit from Glorious and Nebo due to the amount of cut rock faces, narrow twisters and total dropoffs up there. Not to mention there are two corners that would definately wipe Nate out giving the way he drives if he doesn't know the road! Eg: I raced two motorbikes going up the mountain before the rainforest section and they weren't arsey enough to pass me until eventually brake fade caused me to back off to let them pass.

I like the Byron Bay idea, who's up for that one Sunday?

Ryan

project.r.racing
27-10-2004, 06:21 PM
boostedbatman suggested Montville...

30mins from there is a small town called Kenilworth, it has touristy cheese factory and the police station is closed on the weekends, small winder sections, long straight roads, single lane bridges, it's a great cruise and a hoons paradise, might work for everyone involved.

sacah
29-10-2004, 11:37 PM
Don't worry, I was not offended, everyone has their own opinion, many of which clash with mine on a day to day basis, you learn to deal with it, but it would be kind of you not to make fun of people just because their beliefs differ from yours, unless they drive a civic
(-;

Just for your knowledge, most things like swearing, drinking etc I can stand and dont affect me, but being male, nudity (of the female kind) gets into your mind, makes you lust, and generally makes living the kind of life I try and live quite hard, so its something I try and distance myself from, thats prob why those people had such a strong reaction to it...

But we all share a passion for cars and cruising, so lets get on with those topics
