i forgot to tell u all, yesterday (25th march) was greek national day. its one of the big days in the greek national calander, and also the only day in the lent period where everyone can eat whatever they want!!! yeaaaah. but thats 4 a seperate reason
and also for the first time this terrorism **** has really givn me the ****s hard. there was supposed to be a huge panayiri (like a big huge party) on the steps of the opera house, but cause of terrorism worries they had 2 call it off on sun. stupido.
just thought i'd let u no. broaden ur horizons... :D[/color:post_uid0]

As Canberran of the year - well, one of them (shared with every other Canberran) I thoroughly enjoyed having a day off and celebrating a whole lot of nothin'. Only problem is that daytime telly on a Monday is absolutely crap.[/color:post_uid0]

let me see, i got all that, except the part about the boat. :D :D the last time i was on a boat i got soooo pissed, and had 2 stop on the way home to take a piss in the middle of george st. hehehe, a top nite.
anywayz, yeaha im still kinda doin the dancing. i turn 21 later this year, but dancin is kinda relaxing, and its more teachin the younger kiddies. the greek culture needs help to be kept alive and kicking. plus theres lots of top greek chics there!!!
and now, lets hold the bull**** ( :p ), why did u really get the medals!!?!??![/color:post_uid0]
only the best dancers got medals... one from each group of 20-25 students... and yes, i'll brag, b/c i was a champion. oh, and i still have all of the captain medals for each group...they loved me over there...
off the boat = 'fully cultured european'... like your parents/grandparents who came to australia on the ships... you know, same commitment to the greek culture... i like that... we just call people who love the european culture 'off the boat'...bit of tongue in cheek.
as for greek chicks...pfff... they wouldn't have a bar of me when i was fat, and now the tables have turned... i don't go near them... i'm quite happy with my italian girlfriend.
cheers,
Bill[/color:post_uid0]

ahh ****e, u c we never got any medals.. but we did have some funky costumes!!!! gota love 'em dont ya.
so u meant like fob kinda thing with the boat remark. rite, i thort u were just sayin that i was crazy or somethin and fell off the boat or some weird melb joke!! heheheee :D bloody mexicans!!!!
but yeah, i love being greek, and wouldnt giv it up 4 the world. but dont think i had much choice really, they wont let u leave even if u try. its like that seen in godfather 3, where pacino says "each time i try to get out, they just pull me back in!!" (or somethin along those lines).
...and the chics, well italian or greek- same, oli same!!![/color:post_uid0]

hey supergirl, we greeks are a pretty welcoming lot. im sure they wont mind if u join in on the party afterwards too.
and just in case they're still a lil weary, i'l dub u an honorary greek...
"kneel supergirl the xeni (foreigner) of the state of qld, and by the power vested in me, from the holy yeeros shop on victoria road, marrickville, i dub yee an honorary el greka. u may now go and cook enough food for an army, or ur immediate family (whichever one is larger)."
hows that for sterotyping.[/color:post_uid0]

yeah. i thort it was common knowledge. we call any peoples of australian decent "skippys"
not sure where it came from exactly, it does have something to do with skippy, but i remember it being used in the old days in acropolis now. its just instead of aussies, we u say skips. simple.[/color:post_uid0]
