Guys,
Sometimes I get asked about rain marks on the outside of a car's windows that are more noticeable once I have tinted them.

What this is about is either one of two things.

1. Hard water stains that are high in alkaline. This offen happens when using beachside tapwater for example, bore water or water high in mineral content etc..
2. Industrial polution fallout in the air and when it rains, you are left with these stains.

No way can you get these marks to come off without a huge polishing effort with a high speed buff and compound.

There is another way and that's to buy a product from the bigger known glaziers in you town called "Cerium Oxide." It's like a jeweller's rouge. They should know of it.
It comes from the USA in a small plastic tub and costs for memory about $25.
You make it into a paste and rub it on with a cloth and polish off like doing the duco of a car. Results are fabulous but it takes a bit of elbow grease to be put in.

Best shot is to buy it with a few mates as the tub will last you years.

Hope that might be of some help for those who have tried to shift those marks and found it near impossible to do so till now.

Later,
Rob.
