If you are so desperate for chrome door handles then just do the sticker-thing option. Sounds dodgy, but i have a mate with a Lancer who did it and it looks perfect. Im sure it wont last like that for years, but theyve been on for over a year and theyre fine. Its just like a thick chrome sheet which bonds to the handle. No new handles, will cost you about $100 for a set of 4. cheap, not so easy, but cheap :D

Been a while since the Chrome Exchange closed down but
I would have only expected to pay about $100 to get them
chromed maybe $30 each. *I miss that place you should have
seen my 400 SB Chev motor it was a piece of art. Chrome
bolts for manifold, water pump, sump you name it and then
the bits themselves airfilter, rocker covers, sump, pulleys,
fuel rail, alternator, alt bracket etc etc looked awesome.
Was so easy when you just drove down to Arncliffe and
bought it already chromed.

Anyway has chroming prices increased that much ??

Regards

yes, especially the plastic chroming.
the bronzing studio is charging people big $$$. cos they are still pretty much the only one does the plastic chroming.

oh, forgot another chromed item of mine...
- chromed instrument panel for the dash.[/color:post_uid0]

hey EZ, i am just wondering, i was looking at your ezzy styles site and looking at all the parts like the custom dash to hold the guages... it says the price and exchange, call me stupid but does that mean that i have to give you mine and $$$ and you give me the custom one ?

thanks man,

25-10-2002, 11:57 PM
it pretty easy to fit.
you need to:
1. remove the plastic dash
2. reomve the clear plastic cover
3. unclip/remove your existing instrument panel
4. fit the chromed panel.

if you can PM me with an offer.[/color:post_uid0]

What about chroming mirror surrounds. Rough estimate for a Lantis.

JynX

i just got my mirrors dune an it was just the surround not the backin plate an it cost $350 an that was after i got him down $50 bucks
jynx if u think u can get chroming dun for $20-30 a mirror better start taking orders mate because ill keep u employed full time an plastic chroming is a lot dearer then metal

JynX

plastic chroming (as opposed to metal chroming) is waaaay more expensive - and not many places do it, apparently.

hi guys well jynx nothing is simple or is it cheap when it cums to cars i think ull even find that metal chroming will cost more then u think too i havent had any dun for a while but it cost me $25 to have the grill part in front off the windscreen on a sandman back then like about 20 years ago
