hmmm.....
pretty cool, but did astina`s go on the market with a 1500 engine?
would that be a very late brouchure with the same 1500 as the BA?
also, the red one has a "california" number plate on it. i didn`t think they sold them in america!!! :?

nice find

yeah i found the brochure last night in google - purely by accident.

it's weird, the text is japanese, but it wasnt called a "Familia Astina" as far as i know there. and they definitely didnt get them in the US, but it was most likely a pre-production model that *could* have been over there for testing (heat tests etc)...but that's just a guess

is that an automatic fold in mirror? or is it just a fold on impact mirror.

Nope.. that's definately a push button so the mirrors can fold in [they're motorised in other words].. similar to the jap spec BA Astina's too.. I wouldn't mind adding that to my mirrors.. humour some people by flapping at them :P

just like what we had on the voyager, except those ones would only work when they felt like it. and if you folded them in and then opened the door, they would fold back out so the two wouldn't collide, except once the door was shut they sometimes forgot to go in again.

its a good feature. wonder why more cars dont have it?

it's just a cost cutting measure that we dont get that sort of thing.

like mine getting an ashtray light but not a glovebox light...or maybe thats just stupidity!
