For those of you who have ever read the "Audio Upgrades" article on the 323f.net page (July 2001), there was a list of 5 x 7 speakers that were available at the time... what is below is a current list (Jan '03) of 5 x 7 speakers....

for those who are wondering what the deal with the 5 x 7's is, this is the size speaker that was fitted as stock in the front doors of the BA 5 door 323f Hatch (94-98 model).... hope it helps anyone out there who's tryin to source some simple audio ugrades for thier car...

hertz, JL and JVC also make 5x7s

it's not that hard finding brands which make 5x7s, it's actually getting ur hands on a pair which is hard... cause most stores just have display models and only order them in on request, and that takes ages.[/color:post_uid0]

And add Boston Rallye RC820 to that list.
Had a set in my first installation, very clean, punchy things, if a bit bright.

Having said that, it is quite simple to make up an mdf adaptor that takes a 6.5" driver and screw it into the holes for the original 5x7, so the world is your oyster really and you are not at all limited by a choice of the 5x7s on the market.[/color:post_uid0]

Keep in mind some of the model numbers may vary between markets.. for example those JBL 5x7's look like a different model number than the Australian ones..
