The 3ARacing muffler pictured in cannon_1.jpg is the one I have. Not a bad item.
Just a note - I paid quite a bit more for the muffler then what Mick has quoted, and I am very impressed with the quality.[/color:post_uid0]
sik, do u know how much it would be to ship to Melb ?
and if there are any problems fitting these to the astina ?[/color:post_uid0]

Dont know how much it will be to send. u might have to find that out... I couldnt put one on coz i wanted it Fully sideways (Ezzystyle) coz of the spare tyre comes down to low it will sit very low to the floor. but if u put it like theos shouldnt be a prob.
theos (http://www.astinagt.com/images/toy323/toy1.jpg)
will let u know today *:D if it will fit

Cool! I was going to ask if it's any problem to whack the exhaust onto the other side....
Theo, was there much fiddling to get it to fit?? [ie the pipe leading into the muffler itself]. *
One other thing i want to know, how loud is it?? I want one that is extremely quite [ie can't hear it inside] as I hate the droning noise of exhausts like this. I'm assuming that you can get "silencers" [if you want to call them that] that you can put into these mufflers to reduce noise... And you guys have also mentioned a thing called a "hotdog", as i understand it this device takes out the high pitched "raspy" noise created by the Astina setup when you fit an exhaust such as this, am I right??

great mufflers guys... i had one on my rolla sx... twin 3.5" DTM style tips...f'n loud!!! i actually got it cost price from autobarn $190 (chick who worked there was fond of me!)...
only problem was the size of the muffler, too long!! tips stuck out too far... hopefully they have fixed this problem.
top value for the mufflers though!![/color:post_uid0]

Yeah mine was very fiddly to get under there, the exhaust shop had to weld a few bits of angled pipe together to get it to mate up to the muffler cause of how tight a fit it was :O
My pipe work hits the camber rod(if thats what you call it) on big bumps :( *I had to also get the smallest cannon muffler made by turbosmart to make it fit :p

Like MrPayner my interest goes with "if it ain't real loud" ie not louder than what I have.....which is kinda middle-y.....
Cannons have a rep for "loud" and I have an SQ stereo to consider.[/color:post_uid0]

I thought thats what the volume control was for... To
drown out the exhaust noise !! *Your boot critter would
have sound deadening all through it wouldn't it so the
drone problems of others/me wouldn't be as much a
problem I would have thought ??

LOL, i always thought it was a funny idea to put on a loud exhaust, then have to upgrade the stereo so you couldn't hear it. Sort of defeats the purpose... :;):

hey...Sik...what size are you offering?
Cause i'm just wondering...what are the differences between a 4" and 3" tip? Obviously the 4" will be a lot louder...but does the extra size warrent the power increase? Cause like critter (but not to the same extent), I have a SQ system to worry about...

We are looking to retain and gain members, not push them away. Consider a "change of scenery" with new rims or something :P
Or, do what you feel happy with :)
For those who were interested in the 3A Racing mufflers and attended the Melb CAI day - you heard 2 in action (one on my Accent, and one on the SSS Pulsar <Gaz?? Or Something? I forgot>).
Gareth.
Hey Sik, just want to confirm ...
the "2 & 1/2" inlet to a 3 & 1/2" tip" ( top right pic )
looks like it has 2 tips, is the label wrong, Or am i just seeing the picture wrong ?
