hey guys

my indicators are looking a little sun damaged...

can anyone point me to a place that sells clear indicator lights for the BA astina hatch? i'm looking for both the side blinkers as well as the long ones on the stock front bar...

cheers!

SRS have "diamond" style lights
Ozeparts has the original diffuser type of lights

personally i'd want to switch to ozeparts now i have the SRS lights - bit too leaky for my liking

oh hold on its diamond, and crystal

i have crystal - crappy lights they are

the standards are diamond.... getting my jewelery confused... good thing i'm not buying jewelery at the moment!!!

crystal are a very open looking design, and have lines running across them as a diffuser...

diamond look very dotty - they have a triangular pyramid pattern on the inside, with a whole load of these acting as a diffuser... this is the stock type - and is available in clear.... and also the one i'd recommend....

there are 2 types, coz they are different appearances
FKJ4010NAA-886 is the one to go for
FKJ4010NCC-886 is the v. clear set, and show up as silver

oh so very confused,

On a tangent, can you get clear lenses for the indicators on a Hardtop front bar?

Batman has blackened his which looks good on a grey car but I am doubtful about it on dark blue,

I wanna them all clear,

Basically the only colours I want on my car, Dark Blue, Silver, glass and clear plastic.

unfortunaly for the hardtop the whole lens is orange, so that tut, although great, is useless for the hardtop owners.

skippy i also have a hardtop and hate the color orange, you could try getting the indicator cover from a eunos 30x they look pretty simular, try it out and tell me if it will fit :P

If anyone with a hardtop wants to buy my j-spec front bar without indicators then make me an offer. All you need do then is move the indicators to the parking lights and fit orange globes.

what colour is it rob?

Cosmo Dude

It's silver but any bar would need to be painted before fitting.

but if the blinker aint on bumper then where the hell is it ??

=P

And how visible is the actual blinking of the blinker when tinted black like that ... do you need to get a stronger globe ?

the indicators on the Jspec hardtop are in the corner lights, and the corner lights are double-use bulbs. if the parkers are on, the bulbs (which are orange) just turn off to indicate. The Jspec bumper also has a mold line the same as the rear bumper (that runs above the numberplate on the front one)

before my current headlight change, i just had mesh in the indicator holes and just had no parking lights ;)

i've got a dark blue Jspec HT bar under the house, that'll go on one day!

I accidently bought the FKJ4010NCC-886 instead of the AA ones this week. :(

I've put them in and I think they look fine, but not so good on White astina, cause the indicators look whiter than the factory Polar White paint, so looks a little funny.

OzeParts are close to where I live though, so I might visit and compare the other type, and swap if they let me.

yeah they should let ya swap

as i said it is my personal opinion

if you wanted clear indicators on a darker car i reckon the CC would be good - especially if you have chrome touches!

You'll have to come up with a way to stand out more....and sorry i don't know how you could do that though....

its a little bit dim in my opinion (talking nite shades i assume?) but still is more than visible day or night

twiggy has them on his car

do you send a lot of txt messages??
ozeparts again have a lot of stuff - but i think the 626 modding is a bit slow - bit of an older marketed car :p

as to the side ones (what was on discussion) they are the same lights
