hey all,

seen a yellow sp20 on chaps the last couple of weeks whilst dining with the missus... she thinks it is a good idea to fit one to my car after the front bar gets replaced....
i have a quote from car bras australia for $319.00.... seems a bit steep....

any other companies around oz that sell them?

cheers,

It just so happens that my missus did some reasearch for a car bra for me,and she was put onto a place called [b:post_uid14]Robco Products[/b:post_uid14] 49 Sheperd st Marrickville,0295605393 :p
They speciallise in custom, but im sure they would do standard 1's too, give them a ring :D[/color:post_uid14]

Why u want a car bra? If it costs that much then u'd be better off respraying the front bar a few years down the track. Stone chips look a helluva lot better than a big black cover. Plus they scratch everything up anyway.... any dust and it gets rubbed across the paint!

hey kyra,
* why dont you use the old bar for long trips and just buy a bonnet protector? and keep the good bar at home it will save you abit of dollars. :;):
just an idea.

Hi all,
* * * Has anyone ever heard of 3M Scotchcal Paint Protection Film? It's like a piece of film they stick to your hood, bumper bar, etc and is thick enough to prevent stonechips. Companies like Stongard in the US sell a pre cut kit (unfortunately, none for Astinas I think). *I have been looking for a company in Australia that does this OR
possibly buying the damn tape from 3M and trying to cut out a kit for myself
OR
taking the tape to a window tinting / pinstripping place
Check this site out www.stongard.com ???[/color:post_uid0]

Nupes, if you're happy to give me a few days, I'll ask my dad about it for Astinas. He heads up a 3M division. What model do u have?

No, no pre-cut sheets in Oz..... and dont think theres any for Astina anyway. Its just applied by tinting people.... easy to cut, easy to apply if u know wat you're doin supposedly. Uncut sheets readily available. Thats all the info i got!

Cheers
