a fair bit of not much depending on how handy you are at sanding :;):
basically a new base at the 'top' side out of body putty/bog - just to get the correct shape to follow the window line. if you look at the bottom pic, it's about 1 or 2cm of bog over the plastic of the mirror to get a nice curve.
and yes, they're very dirty![/color:post_uid0]

Can you post up a front view of your car so we can see how they look from that perspective?

I didn't notice it the other day, but does the passenger side still retain that "wide-angle [objects appear closer..]" glass or is it just normal??

hm.. when did they introduce the "wide angle" mirror?
coz my 95 HT doesn't have that, but my 97 Jap spec does, i thought it as coz it was a jap spec, u're telling me that all the more resent ones have that?
btw, love the mirrors dan, kinda spaceage, like the nabu spacecraft in starwars 1&2 only it isn't chrome =)

mmmmm Natalie Portman :;):
yep, the LHS mirror is a 'Convex' mirror as per my old one, but now the RHS (drivers) is also convex, which took a bit of getting used to.
and thanks for the compliments :)[/color:post_uid0]

oh on the topic of mirrors... =P
my driver side mirror is broken, where can i get it replaced cheaply? hm. convex mirrors wouldn't be a bad idea either =)[/color:post_uid0]

cheaply? probably not from Mazda then! i'd say your best bet is a wreckers - the only one i can think of is Allmaz in clayton, but they're not the cheapest.
actually, you could try PartsLocator.com.au (www.PartsLocator.com.au) and ring anyone that has the parts and get the best price.[/color:post_uid0]
