Cd player stopped completely - Similar to previous post

jvc deck in my gf's car has cut out, permanently... i haven't seen it yet, so not quite sure, but it is not any of the car fuses... i'm guessing it is fuse on deck or wiring???
she said it flicked and then turned off completely. i'll have a good look at it tonight.

any ideas guys?

[color=#000000:post_uid0]i'll take a wild stab in the dark and say its possibly got a problem with power. :p

may be the fuse in the HU, the wire harness coming loose, or a wire in the back is coming loose or touching something else.

I've fixed lots of ppls HUs where they've done their own wiring with electrical tape wrapped around the twisted wire connections, and its just peeled off.

Another possibility is if its a detachable face, it may be that the pin connections on the back of the face are bent or damaged and arnt connecting properly. easy to do! easy to fix ! just be gentle.

[color=#000000:post_uid0]Yeah, I had this problem yesterday! Got my head unit installed last weekend, but the people were incompatent and the installation only lasted 5 days befoer it stopped. I ended up pulling the unit out to find a dissconnected clip! Have a fiddle round the back and you will probably find the culprit![/color:post_uid0]
