The story so far: -

I have been dealing with carmate for body panel parts for the last two monthsor so. This does seem like a long time and it is because they take so long to return any of your emails.

Anywayz, once i asked then for costings and time frames to deliver their products as some are made-to-order. They asked where i live so they could let me know.

Plus at the bottom of all their email they state, "prices are for parts only, pleace contact us about frieght and insurance." So i replied by asking for cost of parts, insurance, frieght, totals.

Her replied with a smartarse remark that stated that he had already given me the prices for parts and frieght would be $85.00.

What a complete ****-head, after being a smartarse he still didn't tell me insurance prices and time frame to deliver the made-to-order stuff.

Well all i can say is that CARMATE will not be getting my business from me and i will be letting everyone know when i attend the next autosaloons when i'm competing.

Ryan

P.S. Carmate are total dickheads!

That's too bad Ryan,

I've delt with Sydaney Special Vehicles (SSV) before and found them very good with emails and even on the phone! They have some nice bodykits for the BA if I recall correctly, give them a go, it won't hurt.

Yeah i sold it 2 years ago! the buyer replace the springs, removed the front lip. he butchered my hard work. ouch to see.

i own a 97 BA now, in the process of bulding it again. something different so ppl will look twice at it.

ah nice man. i still remeber seeing it on that notice board! what color is the BA your building up? what are your plans for it? was that a cyber lip u used to have?

cheers mike

yes is was a cyber lip same as carmates.

the colour will be either a deep purple or and bright orange, 18inch whells sitting in garage atm, vielside skirts, CF bonnet, curved fibreglass rear wing...

the problem i'm having atm is that all the front bars i like dont fit intercoolers, and i dont want the same lips as what every1 else has. so i'm gonna build something myself.

and i was going to add:

Carmates service is pretty average. I was quoted 3 different prices for some sideskirts there and got JynX to pick them up and he got them for even less than the 2 other prices quoted - and one of those was trade! Assclowns

Yep,
So little is available for a hardtop that when you find something you don't hate you throw a party :p

what gear does aerobodystyling have? ive never heard of em

www.aerobodystyling.com there service and prices are pretty good

rupe - i have had a few ideas for the hardtop 4 a while, the hardtop front bar is way easier to work on as it has so much more room to play with near the attaching plate. i still may buy a hard top also for the run around car.

2nd option: - bring back a blitz kit from der-turner in germany when i return from there plus about 100 pairs of altezza lights that will proberly be requested by everyone.
