System wiring - Problem with wiring

i was just wondering if anyone could tell me wether or not the wiring for a sound system goes anywhere near the car computer, and wether wires from the harness are required to do the wiring. My mechanic seems to think that the guy who did the audio wiring for me pulled out a wire from the harness and replaced it with one for the stereo... i have no understanding of this so i was wondering if u guys/gals can help me...

[color=#000000:post_uid0]they do go near the harness , but i wouldnt know if they are actually connected.

( btw, im talking 94-98 model )
The computer is directly below the stereo. Its behind the ashtray and cig lighter. It may be that the guy used the power wires from that ? Or maybe even the Accessories wire, but he really shouldn't have needed to.[/color:post_uid0]
