That's right. When you get in your car in the morning the guage reads true to the last time the ignition is on.
Welcome to your Astina :p

well in that case it's never been working properly until now. :p

all BA fuel gauges stay where they're filled to. it even says so in the manual

slight deviation,

But how far can we get once the fuel light comes on occasionaly,

I did like 80 KM from first flash, and after that it only took another 40 something litres

V6 = 55L tank, is 1.8 different?

correct me if i'm wrong

its meant to be a 8 litre(ish) warning light so you'll need to work out your fuel economy, with a full tank, and then work out how much petrol you drained

i know mine is 8litresx13km = 104km

having said that running too low ain't a good idea - even if your poor :p

i think the tanks are the same between the v6 and 4cyl.

I usually dont let mine get below half way. :)

yep, 55L tank on both the 1.8 and V6

and i usually work on about 50km once the light permanently stays on.

75kms for the NA peoples ;)

My fuel guage goes right to zero when I turn the car off, and does the fuel warning light flash of just come on and stay on permanatly?

Just interested in differences...

stays on permanently.

but it tends to come on and off at first as the fuel sloshes around in the tank.
