No but my friend has.. he said you usuallyhave to spend another $200 to have them to fit properly and extra fibreglass because they are thin...

I have been holding off for someone else to buy one so I can find out whether it is ok...

If no one plans to buy I might give it ago...[/color:post_uid0]

My kit was from carmate, the front bar needed to be primed about 6 times, and brackets had to get made to bolt it on properly.

Their service and pricing wasn't bad though. The rear wing was a perfect fit and good finish being plastic.

The side skirts wern't a super fit, but I'm not 100% sure that the fitter wasn't the problem there.[/color:post_uid0]

Sorry to go a little off topic, but roughly how much would you expect to pay to have a front bar, side skirts and rear bar fitted and painted?

boyd,
it all depends on the size and shape of the bars/wings.
but on average, we charge between $800 to just over 1k for paint and fit (ie. trial fit, clean the surface for primer, prime, sand it back and paint in spray booth and fit).
again, it all depends on where you go and the quality of the primer/paint used.
believe it or not, i have came across a shop (no name mentioned here...)where they charge people over $1500 just to paint and fit the front and rear bars..........

I know a shop that might be what eric is talking about that charged my friend $2200 for his front bar and side skirts and a bonnet vent...

Thanks Eric/Tony, at least it gives me (and my wallet) some idea of what to expect. My front and rear bar are really only addons for the standard anyway, not a complete new item.

yeah I would say $1000 and fit is damn good for canberra but sydney/melbourne it is more competitive and you get a better job job for cheaper...

btw canberra sucks for car stuff

i was looking at the cw fbs front bar from car mate and there are no holes in it for the indicators. do you need indicators in the front or will i get pulled over because of it?
thanks.
