yeah i remember hearing about this one a little while back. damn thing is nuts! dunno if it's run yet, but should be an 8 second car pretty easy
drag racers love the hatch because it makes tubbing so so so easy and also drivetrain changes are easier with more room to play with

Hey people this car recently featured in NZPC (new zealand preformance car) It has done a 9.86@135mph. And is puting out 476bhp@7300rpm running 16psi of boost. any more info look at www.performancecar.co.nz.
Im just gona duck off to the toilet briefly

they must be having problems with tune and getting the power down. 7300rpm top power for a 20b is ****e! they need to be up to atleast 9000rpm. mildly tuned 20b's put out that sort of power too!

Last time I was at Heathcote there was an FA4 ('77 model) 20B 323. I beleive it was the last time he ran w/o ladders as the traction at launch almost flipped the thing on its lid.
Gotta love the 20B, makes the rock ape V8 look like a boat anchor. At least a V8 keeps the front wheels on the ground ;)

a very good anchor by the way....
shame that intercooler is so small... they can see over the top of it... needs to be the size of a small building!!!
v. perty though, shame its such a bastardisation you wouldn't street it.....

intercoolers dont need to be any bigger than that. that's a very thick one too.
nissan's and vl commonwhores driving around with intercoolers the size of the front of their car are just wankers. they'd be loosing power for certain

Oooohhhh, man.... I've gotta go change my undies now....
I remeber seeing an old falcon with a massivly done-up V8. When it was on the dyno, revving the enginge would make the whole car buck (quite a lot too), and on take-off, it would just about get up on the right rear wheel.

Anyone check that link for the 1000hp KL-Ze powered Holden (of some sort),
Number plate 4filth,
Without doubt the biggest intercooler I have ever seen, to match the 1400cc injectors.

Also anyone seen the size of the standard intercooler in 13B powered RX-7 series 6, tis tiny as in really really friggin tiny,
About the size of the top of a shoe box.

An Rx-7 doesn't need a bigger intercooler unless you're putting out a lot of power or want it for show.
Remember the greater the volume between the turbo and throttle-body the higher the potential for lag. I had a series IV 13B (170kw atw) in my Cosmo and the top mount IC wouldn't exceed mid to high 30 degrees with the ducted hood.

I know this is an old post but I just found it.
Gotta love the Lawton rotorsport work. They have been converting the 323 series into RWD rotor power for years now.
Even I can have one of these.
Just take the 20B out of my Cosmo
Fit 20B into wifes SP20
Re-fit SP20 engine into Cosmo
WTF..........???
Forget it, the Cosmo aint ever going to be piston powered, its against the religion
