Newcastle , next weekend 21st and 22nd

for those of you who might not know
the offshore powerboat racing will be on the 21st and 22nd
on 21st you will be able to view the boats on the shore, free entry to the pits too, and the race will be on sunday

i went last year and it was great seeing these 25 M long powerboats doing like 220 kmh, very louuud n fun :D

the boats come into the harbour, round a bouy around the brewry then go out back to sea around n back again
so the wharf is good viewing point

I'm thinking of going in to have a look too. I went last year and it was awesome!
I'll probably go on Saturday arvo. When are u going maybe we could hook up?

I was surfing at the beach where the turnaround bouy in the ocean is last year!! The rooster tails these things thow up is bull****! The noise underwater is pretty crazy too. I won't be about this year to see em though :( Will be at Drag Combat at eastern creek.

the race times were in the paper yesterday but ive forgot them allready, ill have a look n then post them back
i think the race started at 1130 on sunday but not sure
