Hi guys, long time - no post!!

I need some advice on what to do... For a while now, when I use engine breaking to slow down, or even leave the car in gear and roll down a hill not using the gas or clutch I get a big load of white smoke pour out of my exhaust when I use the accelerator! (I reckon coolant burning)
I have heard that this is valve seals... Not knowing what a valve seal looks like or even where to look I can't see if they are worn.
What can I do to make sure it is the valve seals or anything else (like head or intake gasket)? And any idea on the cost of replacing them?[/color:post_uid12]

Best to get a mechanic to look. They live under
tha HLA's which in turn are under the cams. Valve
seals reduce oil from the upper head which needs a
good supply of oil from dripping down the valve stem
and into the air/fuel mixture.

I have been told that

Black smoke = carbon/unburnt fuel
White smoke = water in your oil (headgasket)
Blue Smoke = blow by on your pistons or burnt valves

so maybe you should do a compression test[/color:post_uid0]
