View Full Version : Not happy!
After being rear ended over a month ago. I was told that it would only take 1 week to fix my car. Today, 3 and a half weeks later, they tell me that it's finally ready. I just went and picked it up and I'm really not happy. The inside of my boot (plastic) is only holding on by a few clips, the exhaust tips are still bent to the ****house, the back panel that says 323 now says mazda323f and is on crooked! And to make matters worse, the lifters are now really noisy and my car nearly died on the way home :( I knew it ran bad, but I suppose after 3 and a half weeks it just didn't want to keep going. After I get everything fixed on it, I think it will be a trip to Mazda to get the sensors and what not checked like I was going to before the smash!

I'd be taking it back saying you are not happy with the repairs and point out all these problems. As a matter of interest, who was doing the work for you?
Yeah I'm taking it back Monday 1st thing. But I prefered to have it home so I could look over it and find all the faults. Jenkins Smash Repairs on Hertford St are doing it.
The reason it took so long was apparently parts, but it took them 2 and a half weeks to get the part that they needed only to find out that they need another part... You can understand my frustration I'm sure...

Well as far as I was aware they were good. I guess you don't know till you go hey? Ahwell, I'll get it all sorted Monday, and if I'm still not happy with it then it'll be going back or going somewhere else. I'm just glad insurance is paying for it...

I know how you feel
My BG took 2 weeks to fix went back twice for a week each time.
took me 5 goes of poking them and 5 months to get me a parcel tray.
I still find a lot of faults but with me being so busy working and them not being open to sort it out on weekends its hard to get the rest I still find wrong it.
for the 3rd attempt they had at it, I had to do a 6 page letter to NRMA before the smash repairers wanted to fix what I was complaining about.
I have to deal with a lot of them with work there is a lot of dodgy ones out there and some really good ones.

Bit of a shame really... I hope I don't have to wait another couple of weeks =\

The only thing I could suggest is in future choose insurance that let's you nominate a repairer of your choice.
They did! :( I thought they'd do a good job... I was wrong.
fark man thats gotta suck balls ... sounds like they sourced parts from europe ... what did they do ... buy them off ebay or something! at least you can tell your mates you got an import :p
well i hope it all works out for you! every car gets wacked sometime in its life, but it doesnt make it any easier when the repairer cant get the job done! my mates celica is overdue in the repairers waiting on parts (after it hada fight with a BA and lost) ... just goes to show!
good luck with it all anyway!

After taking about 8 months to get a respray sorted my advise is go straight to the insurer and say this is not up to scratch, please fix it.
I went to the smash repair place over 10 times by the end of it and should of just gone straight to the insurer with my first complaint.
In your case when you chose the repairer
I would take it back to him and say, I heard good thigs about you and choose you because of this, I am not at all happy with this could you please attend to it. Give him a list of things and leave it with him.
if no good go to insurance company.
I've heard of a Daewoo clutch taking about three months,
Good luck,
and remember calm cool and collected (as it suits)

And then a dash of agro for the fun of it
lol, everything is fixed now guys, I went in there with a list and it all got fixed that day. So I'm pretty happy with it. It's not perfect but it's about as near as it's going to get.
