hey u guys, hope the pictures come up, if not i've put in the links as well.... don't think its a standard exhaust, reckon its a custom job but it really is sweet.. couldn't even hazard a guess as to what it does for noise or performance though...

LOL that's exactly what I want to do to my v6 !
Just havnt decided whether to use a east/west muffler, or take the difficult path and have 2 seperate north-south mufflers. Each taking from 3 cylinders.

Thats some nice workmanship.
Notice that he has only replaced the rear half as
you can see the flange and stock exhaust in front
of the wheels. Very nice work thou. I often wish
I had added a nice stainless muffler on the back
of mine.

i think we're all missing something important here..,[b:post_uid0]since when did BA astinas come out in electric blue?!?!?[/b:post_uid0]
bah, i want one. wonder if it's custom or just one of the many colors (like gold + black) that we didn't get...
and i also want twin pipes out the back. damn the Hardtop having a different positioning of the spare wheel well...[/color:post_uid0]

The colour is nice.
Saw one similar colour in Wollongong on the miny cruise
with Theo, Tony, Sik & Miss323. Would be nice with
some chromies on it.

On the subject of mufflers... what are you peeps currently using in your exhaust setups. Still in the mix of organising a replacment system so just curious to what you guys think is best for the car (performance and style-wise).
I like the phat look of the dual pipes, but that setup above would look pretty cool too.

ive just got a lukey muffler with twin tips goes ok but i want to change that to a 3a racing 4" cannon but apparently i cant?[/color:post_uid0]
stainless steel muffler/exhaust system, they are bloody expensive!!!
i had the hi-tech setup for the mr2, 2.5 inch stainless steel pipe from turbo back and stainless steel muffler. it looks nice and sounded great, but they charged me $1000 for it. there was pretty much f&*k all runs for the pipe.[/color:post_uid0]

hey guys, Tony just got his exhaust done at South Coast Rotary Performance here in Wollongong. 2 1/2" mandrel bend. sounds nice. and Tony said it flows alot better now and goes sweeet! :D . He has a 2 1/2 hour trip ahead of him now to get home.
I got extractors, 2 1/4 piping heading into twin 4" tips. {on each side} It goes better than it did before and sounds good too so I'm happy with it.

Tony, with the new turbo setup, and this news of your new exhaust ...
... just wondering if you're using an east-west muffler still ?[/color:post_uid0]
I'm curious what the red stuff down each side of the car is ?!
Maybe thats the old paint color, on the backside of the panels? or red skirts ?[/color:post_uid0]

If you want twin exhaust, use a V8 muffler I did this on my Fiat x19 which i have also turbo charged and a 92 model mr2 , All you do is make up the pipes and put on the tips. Looks and sound great and also the cheapest way to.[/color:post_uid0]

Yeah I am really happy.. mine doesnt look anything like that but the workmanship is just as good if not better.. Mandrel bends made a huge difference and the new muffler sounds tuff!
I will post some pics... the underside of the car is really dirty due to road kill on canberra roads at the moment...
mine is still an east west muffler[/color:post_uid0]
