Get 8mm leads if you can...

Top Gun are the most available (autobarn and autopro) and are around $110 bucks and a week wait cause they custom make em...

NGK are probably better but I dont know where to get em

I have found NGK R spark plugs are the best.. Bosch run too hot in summer but that is just a personal opinion...[/color:post_uid0]

NGK and DENSO iridium high performance plugs work the best for mazda, probably because mazda's are originally equipped with NGK and DENSO standard plugs. Use upgraded sparkplug cables if you really wanna notice any difference, better response to gas and little less fuel consumption

HKS plugs also seem to do right but don't have any experience with them

had bad exp with splitfire and bosch and brisk....[/color:post_uid0]

I use Eagle "Eliminator series leads, and NGK Irridium IX spark plugs, had no dramas with the leads or plugs.
The NGK IX plugs are an awesome plug to use cause they need no cleaning, the are made from a substance(irridium) which doesnt allow any carbon to form on the electrode :O i run extra fuel through my system with the adjustable fuel pressure reg,and still no build up on the electrode, these characteristics do come at a price but :( they are just over $80 for a set of 4 :O
The leads i got are around $70 a set :)

Do you really notice that much of a difference over the
standard NGK V-groove plugs. I run Top Gun 8.8mm leads.
I used to run MX6 Turbo spark plugs which are extended
reach to fire lower in the chamber which worked fine. I
only stopped using them when I got lazy and let the
mechanic get them and he gets TX3 ones.

I'm thinking of changing my spark plugs to NGK Iridium. I normally just the standard NGK spark plugs. The NGK Iridium cost around $22 per plug, so is it really worth it?

Also changing my leads... the TOP GUN were quoted at $82... so is it worth changing that too? I was thinking of just changing my leads to TOP GUN ones and just use the normal type spark plugs... is that worthwhile? ???

I don't know much about spark plugs, and any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks
Daniel :)[/color:post_uid0]

I read that the standard Mazda Spark plug leads are only good for a maximum of 100,000km's :O So i think it would be worth while you changing them,as for the plugs,if your after a low maintainence plug that you wont have to clean and replace for a long time,i recomend the NGK IRRIDIUM IX,thats what i use and they are great :p
As for your question bout using the standard Plugs with the performance leads?there is no prob with doing that, its all good :p

Catch ya :D[/color:post_uid14]

Have been using the Top Gun leads for about 3 years
now and they haven't missed a beat. Go for them.
I got the 8.8mm ones but its only really the insulation
thats bigger so the 8mm will be fine if thats what you
got quoted.

They only make 7mm for the Astina's unless you go for custom made 1's mal ???[/color:post_uid11]

I got mine from that place that was in hurstville.
All I did was call up say the model etc and they
were there the next day. They had 3 packs for
me to chose from eg TX3 a KJ Laser and an
Astina one. In hindsight should have got the TX3
as had the extra lead for the coil which you dont
need on the Astina.
Top Gun are in Sydney so even if its custom you
can go there. They fixed one of my leads that
was about 2cm too long. Got some free holders
too which was good :D

Do new leads come with the long bits on the end that go into the top of the head?

Can you just pull your old set apart, replace the lead and keep the ends?

Thanks
