I was checking my dad's Maz 3 today and what do I notice on the left rear door? Low and behold, it's a bloody dimple dent caused by some turd opening their door. Bloody hell it ****s me to tears that there are people who don't take due care when opening their car doors!!!

That is all.

And you deserve to not have your car dented every time you park there.

They wouldn't care unless you flipped their shopping trolly (I don't recomend this. If anyone saw this they would not take your side  )
Best thing is to park away from the entrances and other cars where possable.

If you had a digital camera you could hang out around shopping centres on Saturday morning and take photos of vehicle asailants, and use extortion to make money. "Now if you don't give me $100 I will I will forward these photos of you vandalising this car to the car's owner!" Hehe, you might even get a spotters fee from the damaged car owner, and $100 to let them get away with it is cheaper than the $350 excess from the other driver's insurance company plus the demerit points on their insurance.

Seriously though, the farkwits that are this abusive to other cars are generally from such a low socio-economic background that they wouldn't have the money or the scruples to care about other cars given the meagre cost they've paid for their own pieces of **** that they drive into the ground only to continue the cycle repeatedly...
Having said that, I cherished my old 1975 Subaru Leone GFT coupé (precursor to GLF and Vortex) and shuddered at the thought of some bastard scratching it despite it's patches of sanded and primed bog and cobweb cracks in the paint, IT WAS MY PRECIOUS!

Some people just dont pay enough attention to the possetions of other people. I parked at my local supermarket, when i was walking back to my car i saw the dude next to me, with his open door resting on my door ever so slightly, he shut it and started his car. i could see that he had just swiped the side of my car and left a white paint mark. i made him stop his car and started asking him calmly whether he had hit my car or not, which he denied. i got a bit pissed, but realised, what in gods name could i do. its not worth the insurance claim. im working at werribee plaza, they dont pick up trolleys here, useless! they are everywhere!

Tip: Don't ask if they scratched your door with their's. Say I SAW YOU scratch my car door just then! And be assertive about it, even nominate a person in the carpark that would've likely also seen it too. People are generally happy to crucift a careless car vandal and are happy to be a witness, it's the Australian spirit.
I was at the Transport department at "Logan Central" (Woodridge), and a carload Paki's were getting into their car beside me as I was swapping the plates on my car. And I saw the attitude of the kids as they approached the Prarie, and as dad got up to the car I said firmly "now your children aren't going to throw those doors into my car now are they!!!???" Dad politely made sure the children were coached into the Prarie facing my side of the car. Having watched the kids on the other side of the car THROW the doors open, I found it to be highly reflective of the parents upbringing of the children. My kids (heaven forbid) will be taught that other people work hard for their money, and that their cars are the second biggest investment they are likely to make in their lifetime, and should be treated as such.

Yeah, because the offenders are usually poor it would give them a chance to have a good deal of panel work fixed on their car for free... Grrr, I've seen a bit of that **** go on too.
You can't blame children, because they aren't aware of their world beyond their own little bubble that they live in, so you need to teach them and make them aware of such things.

Gav, your idea about a spotter's fee for dobbing in these idiots sure does work. My friend left a note on a car he saw had been hit by another car's door and the owner of that damaged car was so grateful, he wanted to pay my friend $50 or more. The owner of the damaged car also called the cops and the old woman that caused the damage got in some ****. Hehehe.

i also have 3 dings in my doors, 1 on the passenger door and 2 in the drivers.
all cause by either fat bastard businessmen in their fat exec. mobiles or wimen who can`t park properly!!!
gets right on my ****ing tits!!!
especially noticable on a black car!!!
i now find myself checking my car every time i come back to it.
any damage and its WD40 on their windscreen, which is wrong but i don`t care!!!
makes me feel a bit better. ;)
