Got back to my car at the station tonight and noticed a few things out of place. It'd been broken into, my CDs gone and also my sunnies
My Alpine h/u was still there but only 'cos I had to support it from the rear and it's srewed in and won't just slide out.
Luckier still was that I've renewed my drivers licence recently and all that paperwork and EFTPOS reciepts were still sitting on the passengers seat when I returned (dickheads). I also have a teeny tiny glovebox which only fits 3 CDs with all the other crap in there :p
Well tomorrow I need to work out how they got in and look for damage :(

very sorry to hear that Rod.
being near a station they might have cameras watching the carparks etc - worth a try.
it makes me rethink the value of my stereo.

It's the kinda **** that happens, it just pisses me off.
Who would want the kinda music I listen to (my Duran Duran and Devo Cds are safe but they got my Nena CD I had to import that) or take an old pair of sunnies. Now I have to repair all the mountings on my h/u 'cos of this and I had enough to do this weekend without this crap.
I can rip you good quality mp3s / cds of the following Nena albums:
Nena ( 1983 )
Wunder Gescheh`n ( 1989 )
Bongo Girl ( 1992 )
Und Alles Dreht Sich ( 1994 )
Maxis & Mixes -Limited Edition ( 2004 )
Alles Gute - Die Singles 1982-2002 ( 2003 ) - Compilation
Ihre Grossen Erfolge ( 1996 ) - Live Show
free of course :)

Thanks I've thought about putting a 1UZFE into a 929  If I had the $$$ I'd do it to a HD though. I still don't know how they got in, no signs of entry

Damn, that sucks. Still, at least they weren't smart enough to grab your license renewal and receipts, or try and make off with the whole car!

Here is what happened to me of Fri night.
Blew a fuse and pulled into a car park on the sydney side of Tom Ugly's
bridge. Walked up to the local servo 5 mins away and when I got
back this is what I saw. No note no nothing.

finally got the ICE together and look what happens. looks like the new tinting held the window together when they pulled it out.

But theres a lesson to be learned: when you get an alarm, make sure its one that actually goes off if the window breaks not just when a door is opened, like mine which did nothing coz they just climbed through

the deck was a Pioneer DVH-p5650MP.
similar to this, just an oldermodel
http://www.pioneeraus.com.au/car_entertainment/visualaudio/dvhp5050mp/index.html
had it about 3 weeks. worth heaps more than it was insured for unfortunately. plus a no-name 7" motorised flip out lcd tv.
Maybe you could rig up those flamethrower kits u see in hot4's and stuff to shoot out the sides..

Im going for more of another battery to somehow run current throguh the car body. so whe someone goes n touches it like they will get zapped, as for the glass, well, they r bound to hit the car somewhere!
my friend done it to his letterbox after someone stole his old one! ah it was worth the wait too!
