To explain it a bit more,i dont mean that they flicker on and off,i mean like at idle b4 you put your seat belt on, the warning light is lit on the dash, and it slighty flickers, same with the handrake etc, :(
Cant say ive ever noticed it b4, Strange ???
Can any of yous other guys check yours for me too,it would be appreciated :)[/color:post_uid4]

Damn, this could be expensive :( I wonder if it had anything to do with the exhaust shop welding my exhaust without the protector thingy on the battery
The car is running normal still, maybe the alternator is starting to pack it in :(
Looks like a trip to the Auto Leco, things would have to happen just b4 rego wouldnt they

Cheers guys :)[/color:post_uid0]

Well i dont notice mine flickering during the day ...but it is noticable in the night .....and ive noticed it even after i changed my battery to a new slightly bigger one.It happens to the light on the digital clock and my deck too ...and when i put on the park lights everything dims...It isnt that noticable...you have to be looking for it to see the diffrence ... but its there...dont know what it is though......[/color:post_uid0]

Theo,

I had some weird lights on the other day when my battery decided to have a nervous breakdown. Walked out to the car one morning and the whole engine just went click and didn't turn or anything. Thought it might have been the starter motor because there was plenty of charge in the battery and all the lights and stuff were on and the car push started fine.
While I was driving it around though, the ABS light was stuck on and some other lights were coming on and off here and there - it was quite disturbing actually. Took the starter motor out and checked it out and was fine. Had the battery checked by a battery place and it was an open circuit so something in the internals of the battery was cactus. Chucked the new one in and everything worked first go!

Might be worth getting an autoelectrician to give the battery a once over. ???[/color:post_uid0]

Yeah i might go and visit the auto leco ,i dont think its the battery but,its not that old,but you never know :(

Yeah, that's what I thought because my battery was only about 15-18 months old! :(

Hope its nothing too serious.[/color:post_uid0]

Just went to the auto leco,he said it looks like to him that its a loose wire thats part of the harness that plugs into the instrument cluster ??? *Which to me is a possibilty cause i have had the cluster out and fiddled with it whilst doing painting :(
1 thing has led to another aswell,i was hearing little constant squeeking noises in the engine bay aswell,so i sprayed a little silicone spay on the belts, but that wasnt the drama,i just found out where its coming from and im not happy  Its cutting off when i activate the clutch,so yes it looks to be the clutch thrust bearing,And you think that was enough for now,but no,the reasonator has decided to pack it in too :(
Could some1 lift this ugly curse off me,This is really not my month [/color:post_uid11]

Maybe just try pulling the dash apart.. pull the three plugs out and put them back in.. most likely fix your problem.. or you could have a crack in you circuit board with a dry contact on the solder... just find the crack and resolder the crack...[/color:post_uid0]

One other thing you could try is checking your earths. From the battery to the body and also to the engine block. Having a lose or corroded earth strap will do very weird things to a injected car. Hope it helps ya[/color:post_uid0]

Yeah shaun,i have checked the earths, even ran an extra 4guage earth strap from the battery to ground, still doing it :(
Its not really a big problem, just really annoying, ive been told that it wont affect the way my car runs or anything,so maybe i should just ignore it :)

Cheers :D[/color:post_uid14]

Well, my psycic powers aren't what they used to be (can't read customers minds anymore, they seem to think I can still figure exactly what's wrong with their ****).

Hoodoo, voodoo

Hope it all works out well. None of my lights flicker, or anything like that.[/color:post_uid0]

Do they still flicker when you rev the motor a bit. Whats the
car idling at. Could be the idle has dropped below the revs for
the alternator to pump out a constant amperage. If not Theo
then must be in the dash.

Its idling fine Mal,i think its a loose wire somewhere behind the dash, aslong as it doesnt affect the performance of the car in anyway, it can stay that way for now :p

Cheers :D[/color:post_uid14]
