Now i know that some of us on here are avid buyers and sellers on eBay.. So i thought that if you wish to share your winnings on eBay, or brag about a fantastic bargain that you scored you can post them here..
This only for items that you have won.. don't share items that you're bidding on otherwise you might lose your highest bid!
In recent months my purchases include..

Ahh, eBay is a dangerous place for me, spend far too much time looking through things on that site. That said, I've not really splurged on items off eBay, just been buying a few bits and pieces that I come across.
Things of note would include:
- CD's: Primarily CD's that were not released in Australia, or only had limited pressings. Bought a few from America which I am waiting for ATM.
- BMW Williams F1 Gear: Bought a Pit Crew supporters shirt, spray jacket and lanyard. I'm a bit of an F1 nut this year, so found myself a few items.
- Mobile Phone: A friend needed a new phone, so we jumped on and found a good deal. Has been no issues with the phone from what I know.
- Mens Jewellery - Yeah, yeah, I bought a couple of mens necklaces and bracelets early on from eBay, some of them I wear regularly still. Only BN items though.
- Car Alarm: Yep, the alarm I have was bought off eBay... I got the feeling that the seller was Strathfield, so I purchased at a fantastic price. Have had no dramas at all.
- PC CD-ROM GP4: See my F1 addiction at the moment... decided to locate and buy Geoff Crammonds F1 Grand Prix 4... have been playing frequently. Noice.
Plus I've bought the odd item of clothing here and there, but I find that sometimes sizings are wrong, plus don't trust authenticity on many items.
i sell heaps on ebay, mainly heaps of model trains that i bought ages ago with the intention of selling on ebay ;) ... so its kinda like false savings. apart from that i only buy stuff that you cant buy brand new or at super low prices.
What i have bought :
- car bra $30
- extractors (which turned out to be the wrong ones anyway!) $40
- racing rims (ex-mx5 race car) $300
- i tried to buy a whole astina last week but missed out
- i taillight $1.25 ;)
- probably a heap more ... cant really think at the moment ... i have over 300 sales so that a good starts :p

Im seriously addicted. In the last month ive bought about 10 cd's, a few vinyls, a few books, a moto helmate, 4 pairs of jeans, a few hats and beanies, some carbon fibre pillar trims for dads rx-8, some moto parts, a pair of dc shoes, 2 monitors for my car, and heaps of other things. Dont really buy anything that isnt new but.
im one of these 'old' ebayer ... have been trading on there (under my parents name ;) ) since '99 so i am not up with the whole buying new stuff. i still think of ebay as somewhere to get other peoples crap or stuff you cant buy anywhere else. when buying new i still like ot be able to walk into a shop, try on the clothes, listen to the speakers ... etc ... if that makes sense?

Shed, it's a shed. If I was an e-bay buyer then the thing would've burst by now and I was approached to take the Rx-7, I didn't seek it out.....
If anyone knows of a series III Rx-7 shell with little to no rust for a couple hundred bucks then I'd have a nice ride for only 2-3 hundred hours work :D

whats his feedback record like? i would be giving him a ring, if he has good feedback i would say its more than likely that he is in hospital or something has happened in his family. i had this happen on one of my auctions before. the buyers wife sent me an email 3 months later.

Yeah, bags....
Very personal thing, just be sure to check all the obvious stuff like how well does it seal, how solid is the case, are there any straps/buckles/zips that will damage you camera or pull switches when you put the camera in and out (good way to flatten batteries/damage zooms), fabric quality and so on....
As has been said below Pelican are the ultimate answer protection wise, but can become kinda hefty....
Lowepro are another good one, people say they're not worth the money, and you pay for the brand, but once you have owned a few cheap bags you will see why they do certain things and will appreciate their bags a whole lot more. I literally had one float down a river, it kept my expensive camera and two lenses bone dry, I always buy and recommend them.
It's worth noting that a lot of sales guys will give you the pitch about this bag has a warranty blah blah blah, but that warranty is no good if your out in the rain when the bag fails...

I had a Lowepro for my A70, worked really well, and I can't remember what I had for the FZ10, but it was an SLR sized bag, and in that way fitted the Panasonic really well, just wish I could remember what it was, but it was a bit short on padding...

Gavin, I ended up just getting a Lowepro Digital camera pouch (model D-RED 25AW) . . . was going to get a larger case but I put the camera in and it had plenty of padding and held the camera pretty snugly. Didn't want it floating around in a larger bag, so this will do me just fine. Has a pocket inside for the SD-Card. $38.
Oh, and has a separate section that comes out and covers the entire bag to make it completely rain proof. And also can hold 4 AA batteries in separate compartment.
chicaboo
23-08-2005, 06:28 PM
Hey Boyd, I like the sound of the Lowepro, I had one for my A70 and it rocked! For batteries I just get hohum 2000-2100mAh NiMh, I used to get hundreds of flash charges off those in the past, no need to go any higher really, but I guess you could try 2400s, 1800s are uselss...
SehnKhan
23-08-2005, 06:45 PM
I think I just worked out why the rechargeables didn't work...2 that I had were 2050... whilst the rest were 2100. Dunno how I got 2050's though, they were the ones I had in my wireless mouse so I dare say the camera may not have liked the mix (or the 2050's didn't recharge properly alongside the 2100's).
Crazy stuff

energizer 2500MaH in mine... jsut picked them up in coles... good 8 hour charge and the camera is lasting the day out, and about 4 hours of flash photography....
guess the biggest downside on battery life in this camera is the LCD viewfinder...
chicaboo
23-08-2005, 07:07 PM
These ultra zooms use a lot of juice too. In contrast, when I was in Norway with my A70, I got 500+ images off 1 charge of batteries, and I charged these batteries a week before I used them in Norway... The ultrasonic zoom and bigger LCD with IS will suck up the juice, but it doesn't get any better than 4xAA when it comes to longevity.

For what you actualy get it's a ripoff. It isn't an ECU replacement chip, it's basicly a resistor that is intended to make the ECU think that the engine is getting more air than it realy is. In theory the ECU will then add more fuel and you get more power.
In practice the ECU takes about a week to learn (with the help of the O2 sensor) that the resistance has risen and compensates for it.

mobsta_Satan
02-11-2005, 07:25 PM
yeah so what you are saying is the chip on ebay sends messages to the ECU, saying that it is "recieving" cold air, or more anyway. Then in turn supplies more fuel to the engine and ****. Well i think ill take a miss my car uses way too much fuel now anyway.
By the way can anyone replyme a link to any CAI threads on here, like how to's that doesnt involve putting a hole in the resinator. drive a BA

If you really are interested in a 2 door BA Hardtop, then you have no further to look then at our good frien Batman, last time i looked he'd welded the rear doors shut, and is still trying to register his car as a coupe.
Why he chose to do this, well, even Froid would be hard pressed to fathom the workings of our residnet super hero's mind. Who knows why batman does anything but there is a 2 door Hardtop Coupe on Australian shores.
Getting it off his hands? well.... If you ask if you can buy his car you are likely to wake up with the wreck of a burnt out Astina blocking your drive way.
Dearest batman, please don't take umbridge at this post, i'm coming off a 17 hour working day and my brain isn't exactly firing on all cylinders. Loved you in the latest installmeant. :) :) :)
boostedbatman
20-04-2006, 08:03 AM
Thats cool matey
Its not actually welded yet but its not far off I just have to widen the track a bit first???? :D :D
And then there are a few composite parts to be built by yours truely to get it all to work
A lot of work to fit wheels on
Freud tried to unlock the inner bizarreness of the mind of a bat once but found an empty cave
Maybe I just dont agree with a savings account or maybe I am a glutten for punishment
Who knows but there will be a 2 door hardtop in the world
