Phillip Island was thrown up (no not like that :P ) as an idea.

Lake Mountain (Black Spur area) might be good - there could even be snow ;)

From AVO it's 'bout 10- 15 minutes to the meet point. If Dogo is going you could follow him.

Oh, for those that don't know, Mt Donna Buang will possibly have snow up the top (which is where we are going), so make sure you bring your winter woolies!

The plan for lunch was to have a bbq, but the bbq area is a bit open and windy in the cold, so we might stop on the way for lunch in warburton then go up Mt Donna Buang after that.

I'm a bit unsure of the meeting place. can you describe where it is any differently. I don't know the area and I tried looking up Kingsway on whereis and it only came up with the one in st kilda? :o

actually, looking over the route, it will probably take a over 2 hours, as this is not the most direct way, but it's a lot more interesting than maroondah highway!

so make sure you have a fullish tank of petrol

Yes we are back from the Red Dot Tour. We made it to a Red Dot in a little town I don't remember the name of, about another 15 or 20 k's from Emerald.

Today was fun. Thanks cosmo and others for helping with my flooded spark plug chambers - I'm never going to wash ever again (the engine that is!)

Dogo and I lost Chris when we started heading back! I hope you got home in time dude!

My apologies to every one for doing the white ninja and not turning up. I was going to bring my missus and daughter but my daughter was sick so we had to stay home and look after her. Kids rule your life when you have them!
