Ok this might sound wierd, certainly did 2 me. Since service my car seems to have lost at least 1-2L of oil. I asked the mechanic about this last service and he said all is well. I have noticed a strange smell at times (usually after a long run) like burning oil but wasnt too sure, everytime i open the bonnet everything looks ok, no major oil build ups anywhere.

I popped the bonnet the other day and noticed a build up of oil on the rocker cover between the spark leads (left side looking towards rear of car). I assumed I had just left the cap slightly loose and the oil has boiled up through that but I tightend it good when i cleaned the cover and now I pop the bonnet today to see a small leak which seems to originate from the left screw on the rocker cover. Either that or the oil is coming out of the sparky but i thought the lead is meant to seal the sparky hole or at least stop anything going down there??

Any ideas?[/color:post_uid0]

Its most likely your rocker cover gasket... Must be getting on in age... they are about $90 for geninue or $30 at autobarn... if it happened after a service I would check that the oil filter has been tightened up correctly...[/color:post_uid0]
