EDIT!!!

Date : 11th of december

Cruise to the gold coast hinterland
Afternoon go carting at acherfield
BBQ at Nate's place

more details TBA

END EDIT!!!

jingle bells batman smells
CHICaboo laid an egg :p hehe
The Natemobile lost a wheel
and twiggy got away

yes ... it is that time of year again! well bloody close to it anyway ... and seeing as we havent had a cruise in AAAAGGGGGEEESSSS i think we should see out the year in style. The options are:

1. Go-carting - had a good turn out last time and everyone seemed to have a good time!

2. Afternoon cruise into the Gold / Sunshine Coast hinterland. the gold coast hinterland cruises have always been awesome!

3. Insert idea here

then ...

If anyone is interested im happy to put on a BBQ at nateville where many stories shall be told and much christmas cheer consumed! i also hear the light show is pretty good in my street that time of year. only downside is there is no on the street parking due to the coaches that insist on driving up our small dead end street :p BUT! ... there is enough room in the drive for 5 cars extra cars so that should be plenty!

so what does everyone think? date and afternoon activities are up to you guys because we want as many peeps as possible to come!

PS - Prizes for the best decorated car ;)

well i was thinking of doing the GC hinterland cruise that was cancelled before jambo again soon...

if there is something, nate can park his car beside the boat, it can rain again and then we can all have a great laugh

i agree with the hinterland cruise and make it a joint OMC one as alot of people are keen on it

sounds good to me, just give me a few weeks notice to let work know, otherwise i'll only be able to me late arvo/evening.

i could go for go-carting , but all ideas sound good!

Nate

yep deffinately sounds like the cruise is the goer ... joint OMC would be good ... as long as we dont get to many cars along ... aka FL to somerset dam lol

now what date

need time to organise and get the word around so lets look at :
Nov
26th / 27th
Dec
3rd / 4th
10th / 11th
17th / 18th

does saturday or sunday better suit?

CRA23
02-11-2005, 10:30 PM
not the november one! im havin all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled so i will drugged up!

twilightprotege
03-11-2005, 07:39 AM
i think saturdays are best...

i'd vote 3rd normally, but i'll be hung over from my work xmas party on the 2nd so that's out.

10th is out because of the dyno day and drag race, another out.

17th is probably too close to xmas for a cruise.

i think just a meet up at nateville has the twiggy tick of approval.

we can leave the hinterland cruise to next year.

Nate
04-11-2005, 04:36 PM
kingston has awesome facilities but nothing beats the solid alxe of the acherfield carts ... those things are nuts!

twilightprotege
05-11-2005, 10:57 AM

in addition to this, dont make it the 17th/18th just at this stage. might be going to sydney...

or the 16th because that's my 19th.

Nate
15-11-2005, 03:05 PM
ok guys tell me what you think of this.

Meet at springwood macca's at 9:00am (8:20 at aspley forthe northsiders)
Cruise thru the gold coast hinterland with the usual senic stops / photo op's
Lunch somewhere tasty :D
then :

Option 1 - Go Carting - kingston has way better facilities, acherfield has better carts and by far more fun (IMO) so it all depends who is coming along to which one we can book

Option 2 - (for those that want to keep the costs down ;) ) - head to a northern NSW beach for an afternoon dip and 'site seeing' ;)

then, if anyone is interested i am happy to put on a BBQ at my place (street wins the xmas lights competition every year) where we can all have a massive feed and get rolled on xmas cheer :p

so what do ya's say?

chicaboo
15-11-2005, 06:12 PM
Option 1 sounds groovey, wouldn't mind doing the twiggy/zoomer cruise for the day even. I wonder if they'd let my go kart on the track? :D

CRA23
15-11-2005, 08:06 PM
only problem with that is the 9am start :D yes im lazy!

i vote option 1

twilightprotege
15-11-2005, 08:53 PM
opt 1 so long as we go to archerfield (or better still, ipswich)

i'd rather leave the twiggy/zoom cruise for a day by itself. it is a full day's drive

Nate
16-11-2005, 11:23 AM
yeah we will just go for a putt around the place ... option 1 is looking like the go ... and we can make the start later if you like ... doesnt bother me! ... im just chucking up some ideas! ... so we keen on acherfield or kingston?

The List :

1. Gav
2. Tim (and mrs Tim???)
3. Twiggy
4. Nate

MitchEG
20-11-2005, 09:47 PM
heres the archerfield website if u wanted to check prices
http://www.gokarts.net.au/flashsite/mainpage.htm
its changed alot since i went there lasttime

Group Discount Rates *
$23 for 1 x 12 minute session
$43 for 2 x 12 minute session
$62 for 3 x 12 minute session

(* To qualify for a group discount, you will need at least 24 rides within your group. E.g. 24 people x 1 session, 12 people x 2 sessions, 8 people x 3 sessions, etc)

Indy Race Package - *$55 per person.
With a minimum number of 8 drivers required for this event, and a maximum of 14 on the track at once, this is a great introduction to kart racing. This event consists of a
One 12 minute practice session
One 15 lap qualifying race
One 15 lap final.
We use the times from the qualifying race to determine the starting order for the "rolling-start" final. For bookings larger than 14 people, we will break the group down into teams, with the fastest drivers going through to the final, and the others compete in a "consolation" final, so everyone gets the same amount of time on the track!
* Trophies are avaialable for $65 a set (1st, 2nd, 3rd)

Note: A once off fee of $5 applies to all new and replacement licences

there ya go...
