Hi everyone,

A question on adding a new amp.

Problem is I dont have another rca output from the HU.
HU is a JVC 50w x 4 1 RCA.

Require another amp to power my front splits.
How would I do it? the best way
what amp would you reccomend to power these splits?

Current Amp is powering the subs its a 2way, mosfet bridgable. powering two 10"

Following are the specs of the front splits

you can buy 1 into 2 RCA adaptors from jaycar ... thats how i fixed the problem ... where just under $3 each when i bought them :p

you can also get a converter which will take the speaker output from the head unit and turn it into a RCA output to go to an amp.

This will be better than splitting the rca , which weakens the signal

They do a 4 channel one.
There are also any number of power amps that have inputs that take speaker level signal. JL is one example.
As the Orion rep I can tell you that our amps also have this feature and would be a good choice for DLS speakers. Orions are sold by Autobarn.

If you end up going for the speaker to line converter and it has adjustments on it to vary the voltage, don't make the mistake of turning them up all the way and keeping your amps down low. All you'll be doing is upping the voltage in your RCA lines which won't help with interferance.
