Follow the injector hose down to the firewall and you will see fuel filter its smaller and
below the carbon canister.

the second one is a charcoal canister.

the fuel filter is smaller and to the drivers side and down a bit. has a single hose coming out.

The charcoal canister is part of the purge control system. It releases vapours from the fuel tank into the engine to stop the pressure building up.

The small vacuum hose on top means its definitely the charcoal canister. It should go to a small solenoid somewhere which is the purge control valve.

If it was a fuel filter it only has a fuel hose in and a fuel hose out.
If you trace the hose coming from the inlet side of the fuel rail ( not the regulator side ) it will take you to the filter.

The first pic is too dark for me - I can't see sh*t

i would say the inlet is on the left, looking from the front of the car.
but as the coolant just runs through it, does it really matter?
and the wee canister is defo the charcoal canister.

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know where this pipe goes? It comes from the bottom of the charcole canister, I looked on the EPC and it looks like it doesnt connect to anything? more like a overflow pipe? anyone know?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/shaggybenji/image63.jpg

Also where this pipe goes? I think it goes to the top of the standard IC? but im running aftermarket, any ideas what i should do with this? block it up?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v243/shaggybenji/image59.jpg

And last but not least these two pipes, one comes from the back of the inlef manifold and the other is from the 3 way valve that is connected to the charcole canister, do these need connecting together?

With the BOV the other end goes into the pre turbo piping. It is good to hook it up
will help with fuel economy as with a vent to air, the air vented has had extra fuel
added for it so the car runs rich. You cant block it off otherwise the BOV wont work.
As for the bottom picture I have 1 vacuum connected to what I have been told is a
factory map sensor against the firewall and the other cannister one I have split to also
go to a boost gauge.

I got a BPT front cut sitting in my garage thats only had the radiator and AFM taken out so far.

The first one is an overflow and the second one go's to the top of the standard IC

As to the last, i have no idea.
