After taking someones advice I purchased the boards from jaycar to make my own crossovers. Is any one on here a guru when it comes to crossovers, or has anyone used the jaycar boards? Let me know your suggestions about them.
Ive made crossovers - my rear splits are running home made ones.
i made mine myself - didnt know Jaycar had a board like that.
did the board come with the instructions and guide to selecting components by desired frequency ?
what speakers are they for and what crossover points/slopes are you after ?

That is a good article Dave. When they talk about the slope, is the slope steeper or shallower as the number gets higher? My thinking is the higher the number the steeper the slope?

Cool. The destructions that came with the boards are fairly good, they have charts for different components for each crossover freq and for 6 or 12db slope, but the lowest value they give for a set of 2 way splits for the crossover is 1000Hz. Does this sound right, I thought it would have been a bit lower. Any thoughts on this?

it all depends on the woofers that you are running, its not unrealistic but the best bet is to try and dig up the spec on the speakers you are using and hope you can get a frequency response graph. The graph will be an easy way to see what frequencies the speakers performs best at.

Thanks Chipa, I guess Google will get a bash for a while so I can find something about the speakers.
