Usually try to get the parts from FORD first and then try Mazda as a last resort

I used to find with my old Ford meteor that Mazda parts were cheaper.....when I looked pathetic enough one day the Ford guy gave it to me at trade price which was nearly half. That was $20 for a indicator lens...just the orange plastic.
ring up and say its [inset your name here] from [inset your initals here] Auto and im after this part. they will turn around and go trade price for you!

Or ask 'Yo, ma nigga (or homie). How 'bout doing it for trade price?'
I'ts been working for me for the last (too many years to count) and I've never been in the trade.

just be glad we dont own bitsamissing's - bitsamissing started the whole craze of making no money off new car sales and making all their profit on after sale parts and service. how else could they compete against korean hos's?
and yeah, just say "and what's the trade price on that?". get the person's name, then rock up and say "oh that was trade price"...

this cracks me up
I never give trade price unless I know its a customer of ours, if they aren't I ask for there trade card.
other way to get a discount at my work is to be a staff member, a pensioner or work for the defence force.
other then that I charge everyone full retail
dealership buy in prices aren't cheap and aren't cheap places to run

Fuel pumps,
Holden VL RB30 fuel pump is the same as the VL RB30 Turbo except for the part number and are good for 250kw. Aftermarket pumps cost heaps more and are built for 120kw 'cos that is what the engine produces.
Second mod on my 929 was a genuine Bosch VL fuel pump. First was the Pod filter.
Point is that the cheapest fuel pump for a VL is the Holden non turbo standard fuel pump and it does the best job.
