reset switch or battery back-up not working. does the radio stations you have tuned in stay tuned? park the car in heat also? can be the overheat safety switch if is hot in the car while parked.

just a few ideas, dunno which it will be, good lick with it mike.

Told you :p

Store a radio station in the h/u and see if it's still there tomorrow. If not I'll check the battery connection.

Its your dirty wiring.
I told you that!!

Check your wiring, if that is ok make sure you have not blown a fuse (I had the same problem with the HU).

The radio should have 2 power wires, a contstant 12v and a ignition accessories trigger.

Sounds like it doesnt have the constant. Has it always done this ?

If its recent check the stereo fuse. If its always done it check the wiring.

easiest option would've been to get urself an adaptor harness from car model to stereo brand.

available everywhere. plug & play

They exist?

I knew you could get wiring harness for the car model that would normally plug into a stock HU and you can just use the wires to connect up to the HU harness.

Didn't know you could get one to plug straight into the HU though..

you can get two different types.

one is harder to find - this is a direct adaptor harness from car to HU eg Mazda to Sony

The other uses an ISO standard. You need 2 harnesses, one for car->ISO, one from ISO-> HU

A few companies, including Aerpro make them. They're available pretty much anywhere.
