probably not the best for kiddies out cruises. we tend to drive a little, umm, spirited.

there will be some other slower cars on the day and ppl who dont want to drive fast so it'll prob be ok

stock cars are more than welcome! Bringing kids on the cruise is completely your call and depends really on there age! as twilight said we do enjoy abit of spirited driving and it is all within a sense of reason ie we dont go around doing 200ks an hours down the back roads, but enjoy giving the car a bit of stick thru the corners. Some of us go to enjoy the drive, some of us go to enjoy the drive faster, but its not really a problem because there are stops all along the way where we regroup, stretch the legs (sometimes change underwear :p) and chat. If this doesnt sound like your thing or the sort of thing you want to bring the kids too but want to do something all the same why not meet us at caloundra for lunch and hour or so by the beach, and a much more relaxed drive down the highway as a group?

I want to be able to cater for as many people as possible cause thats what we are all about, getting everyone together for a few laughs, a bit of a feed, a bit of driving and checking out eachothers cars. let me know what you think cause we are always more than happy to add another member to the qld contingent

Unfortunately i will not be attending the cruise this time either. I have a huge insurance excess bill to pay for in two weeks, probs with the exhaust and no money to fix any of it.

Will be on the next cruise hopefully.

Marc

p.s Ian, ill have to see if one of my mates wants to race ya in his supercharged evo-lookalike lancer, goes hella fast but u'll beat him. Was good meeting up with ya again at milton macca's last night.

hey guys. cheers for the support guys (emails, pm's, txt's), i have been offered enough batteries to start my own power station! and i never knew i was so loved :p, but its cool, thebattery is just usable and i could get away with it for a cruise (maybe with the help of jumper cables! :p) but hte fact of the matter is work has asked me to work a 10 hour shift at time and a half tomorrow, they have been more than felxiable fitting in a roster that inconviences them so i can still work while i am at tafe. add to that i am $600 in debt to my parents from before xmas and i am trying to fund a motorsport career you take the cash when you can get it ;)

You missed out on a great cruise Nathan, and Nate... On the 3 twisties sections, I was able to keep up with Andy on 2 of them, he was obviously driving slow. We only had to stop about 6 times for Ian's overheating radiator. :p Andy and I painted the road nicely somewhere before Nebo too, that was fun! Was very very hot, but a good day after the early spit of rain.

Damnit Damnit Damnit...

The whole overheating radiator thing **** me off like you wouldnt believe. I was gona try and push it hard today, but the car didnt like it, and had to contend myself with keeping to the back of the cruise.

Oh well. New radiator within a week.... If it wasent for this damned flue id be able to sort alot more **** out. I gota get the aircon radiator out too, sort out my internal wiring, fit a turbo timer, buy a whole bunch of gauges and fit them, fit my CAI, and lots lots more.

Anyone know where I can buy gauges cheap? Id like a Oil Temp, Water Temp and Boost gauge.

Oh and what was that place every1 recomended for buying radiators?

bourbon
05-02-2006, 08:28 PM
do you want a stock radiator? cuase if so i can prob get one

Ian
05-02-2006, 08:32 PM
is it a stock auto BG radiator, or stock manual?

The auto is alot bigger, and thats what im chasing.

project.r.racing
05-02-2006, 08:36 PM
i spoke to my roomate - he said the one you got should be fine... he suggested a radiator flush cos if may have **** in it from older/gtx engine that settled while sitting a auto wreckers...

anywayz, good cruise even with little problems along the way, a must do again.

yeah ian...ill see what i can doo...if i can get one it will prob be a new radiator..but lettin you no the AUTO radiators have extra holes in them on the bottom...

chicaboo
05-02-2006, 09:46 PM
They have extra holes for their built-in oil cooler for the auto gearbox. I seriously doubt an auto box would be better at cooling because some of the space is used for the oil cooling. UNLESS you use the oil cooler for your engine???

great cruise guys, i got home and had to rotate my tyres all that hard driving seriously detreded my fronts

LordWorm

Thought I best sign up...

Had a ball... only complaint was the stopping on narrow roads, when we had just passed perfectly servicable lookouts where I could have gotten some nice photos!!!

Anyway, cant wait to see the photos and vids of the trip.. was a nice run.. The twisties were great fun (mandy didn't like them much unfortunatly...)... cant wait to try once the superlows go on...

was fairly "spirited" the whole way... car got the cobwebs blown out... and I got to road test the response of the TB and intake mods (these work an absolute treat Twilight...can't thank you enough for helping out with them!!)

Spoke to SILVERBULLIT from the toyota club.. he had a good time but pulled out due to last nights curry disagreeing with the twisties... He'll be at the drag day in force...Expect to see you all there... NA Guys and Gals to help us get the trophy, FI people to give us some awesome burnouts and ultra fast runs to look at...and to support your NA brethren in their march to superiority over the toyota guys (looking increasingly likely now that northy's car is out of commission...)

gav - get real tyres ;)Yeah I know, they grip nowhere near as good as Mitches Goodyear Eagle thingies, mine spin up too easy in comparison. I really want Toyo Proxes T1-S or whatever they are called now, but I'm worried they won't fit under the guards with those +38 rims... I'm considering a lightweight 16" replacement rims soon. Any suggestions anyone? Must be cheap and light, pref' with gold/bronze finish and machined lip.

Well if they hang on at a higher level with some ground control I see nothing wrong with them. It's really hard to tell with our cars, as mine are quiet, but seem slipperier at higher speeds that yours don't have a chance to get to because it's not lowered yet.?! But your's seem grippier, but hell noisy though!

Twas a good cruise indeed, as I said before, bitterly disapointed about the heat problems, I wanted to give thoes up front a run for their money...

Speaking of which, i got lots more to spend on my suspension before I go anywhere.

You got me well and truely dude, get some ground control and driver skills going and you can run upfront if you're not silly about it, otherwise you be kissing the guardrail, or worse another car. why only go 16s gav? and whats with the colour combo? gold/bronze on grey, have you really thought this though? are you on drugs? hehe.

suggestion - 17x7.5 +43 offset sava intensa 215/45zr17s high level of laterial grip, low noise, long life, german made + quality, not too pricey.

i'll be going back to these tyres when the current ones are done, i have sava intensas on my old 17s, i loved them...

Yeah I know what you mean Ryan, but I've not seen this combo before, the bronze might be ****ty, but I think a nice gold would be ok. Otherwise I would consider plain alloy with machined lip.

I was looking at sizes on Miata.net last night, and I would consider 205/40/17(x7) methinks. I've had probs aquaplaining before, and the bigger tyre for the 7.5" rim throws out my tyre height too much anyway.

Well, 16s or 17s, not too fussed, I'm just a tightarse...

205/40 on 17s, no can do unless you wanna spend big $$$, then you might as well gone the fidderent combo. forgewt the bronze idea but i've also seen matt gold with machined rims and grey cars like yours, that looks horn, (stolen from Pr1mo!) or wheel colours like mine (black + machined lip) also look awesome on grey cars. :)

it is unfortunate but you cannot just post pics on this site, pretty lame but the powers to be have made it that way. ask nate, gav, pete or andy. they're been hanging around here long enough to know.

:)I can get the Toyo Proxes T1-R in 205/40/17, but I don't know about price vs availability compared to the other sizes? Yep, a subdued gold, with the bling coming mainly from the machined lip, that's the sort of look I would like. A bright gold might be too much at one time? A black or uber dark grey would prolly do aswell, easier to get too...

I want piccies also!

well seeing as i saw him disappear infront of me at nebo, i dont think the spirited driving had him worried (he had some bad curry the night before though apparently..maybe his guts gave up??)..but he was nearly hit a few times in a few places we stopped (narrow bits..) and was worried by one or 2 of the youngins on the cruise :P

he had a good time tho he says... and is looking forward to the drag day (and with northy's stivo's engine blown to smitherines, he may well be the only serious competition we have now ;) )

Actually speaking of custom rear ends on cars, on reflection I commented to my passenger several times how the Stivo was breaking rather late and up my clacker on a few occasions! I don't know if that was because he had someone giving him the same treatment and he needed the reduced buffer to stop safely? Or perhaps the abrupt stop would upset the tummy? Whatever, but it's expected that I almost run into the back of Nate on every cruise, and surprising (to me!?) that I was in a position to do the same to Twiggy this time around...

i dont know if he would have deliberatly been up your date... prob uprated engine, with no uprated braking gear?
or maybe he just likes travelling close?

What's funnier is that my car used to be able to keep up with 10WKH's green TX3 from 100-140, would be cool to see how it goes against kiddos new BPT on the highway, but I'm not expecting much from my car until I have 100+ ATW...

i was no where near my limits going down the range before caloundra....

you can never judge on the speed of the car unless you know they are pushing it as hard as they can. the toyota could have had brake fade? or could be just telling gav to get a move along?

Hey boys just thought I'd join up so I can post up a few things.

Firstly when you stop on a cruise find somewhere appropriate with heaps of room. I was watching my mirrors closely expecting a red Astina climbing into my boot but luckily it didn't happen. Pity the last cars who were stuck out on the middle of the road. :( Cruise was good but to me felt a little more like a sunday drive with my wife in the car. I certainly wasn't pushing my car hard at all and would have only engaged lift prolly 4 odd times. Conditions were a little wet in spots but didn't worry me in the slightest as I know the limits of my car and could have pushed it a lot harder safely.

I wasn't fussed about you guys doing burnouts(they're your tyres :) ) but the passing over double lines was a bit stupid not to mention dangerous.(you know who you are :( )If you are going to go slow on a cruise and have somebody faster behind pull of safely and let them through. Thanks to the guy in the blue Astina who did this :) As for keeping up with you Chicaboo that wasn't hard. I kept letting you get away so I could have a bit of a hard run that's why I dropped back and was then braking hard up behind you on occasions as I was going a lot quicker and also just putting a bit of a gap to the cars behind.

Sorry that I didn't continue on the cruise but the ol' stomach wasn't up to scratch and decided to head for home. Would have been nice to have a good hard run for some distance to see how your Mazda's compare to the Sportivo handling and power wise but maybe next time. We'll through out an invite to you next time we do a run over Nebo/Glorious... at night!!It's much better and no traffic :)

Cheers Silvabullit. :)

Enjoy it while you can pretty boy ;)
For you are now at the top of my Drags KILL LIST
And just to think of it ... you will also be the first turbo car to be flogged by an all motor astina
I recommend you get in all the practice you can and up the mods a bit so that you stand some sort of chance but at the end of the day I will have these stickers on the car just for you on the day
Front windscreen: GOT BOOST??
Rear window: NOT ****!NG LIKELY!!

But I will say to you that its not all bad as there are plenty of high reputation competitors on my list including GTRs and Supras and Rexxies and S13-->15s even the EVOs and the unlucky bogan headed v8 brigades

So enjoy basking in the sunshine for now as my shopping list is getting smaller by the week and before you know it you will be staring at my distant diminishing arse

But I have just one thing to say to your comments and that is:

Its been fun messing with you
But I am serious about the "better pull your pants up racerboy quotes" cos the Bat is a coming to punish all soon

shes dead jim (http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5905) - Old NA Engine. Fixed.
fuel pump power supply (http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5902) - Not so much a problem as a non-optimum solution. Fixed anyway.
Car wont start (http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5658) - See fuel pump power supply. This was part of the conversion process and therefore not a result of a on-road breakdown. Fixed.
Lots of little issues (http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5691) - Again, part of the conversion process, and not on-road problems. Fixed.

dear god NO! (http://www.astinagt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4582) Clutch master cylinder... Man were getting petty now arent we? Oh btw.... -fixed.

The Batmobile as she used to be and now she hangs from a chain in the garage
fixed?

Oh yes, and its all in jest ;)

But dont give if you cant get.... Personally I dont see where this came from... It wasent me who pointed out the word turbo in my sig but astinaboiv6. But there you go.

Ill see you at the drag nights. Personally I think you have balls comming on here and saying "im faster then all of you" when actually your not. Theres a reason the cruise was slowish. There were road traction issues up nebo... remember? The whole "wet roads = death" Thing?

As to getting overtaken? Yeah, I did overtake you. But it was on broken line, not double, and I had plenty of room. Additionally, I heard your farty as$ exhaust comming a mile off when you did a rather dangerous overtaking of me later on in the day, right before you headed home..... Hipocritical?

Additionally, nebo is not a place to be going "omfgbbq I wana be the fastest get out of my road!". Its a place where everyone drives at their own pace, a pace their confident is within their abilities and their car's abilities. For you to come on here and insult people for doing that is, actually, I believe quite dangerous, as your encouraging people to push it too hard up there. One night, you will be comming home up nebo after a hard run up, and there will be some tosser round a blind corner in a ****box commonwhore or somesuch whos pushing his car way too hard and is all over your side of the road. Right before you collect him, I hope you recall just why people should take nebo at their own pace.

if he races you..

turbo cars being ineligbale for awards given its an NA night (but you can show up, its a free country..come cheer on the NA boys)...he might think its a waste of time??? given that he'd be more after seeing if his car can hold its own against some of the NA beasts we've got...and with a limited number of passes might not get a chance to take on the turbos...

And he's not silly... he'd expect to be beaten if you can drive a decent race... you've got boost...most other people there wont...

The 4 or 5 of us in the front group didnt have traction issues :P

I think we can do without the S*** stirring with this drag night too. We put it to rest long before AGT was invited by twillight to come on board. Lets do this in the spirit of healthy competition and cross forum interaction....not as an exersize in who has the biggest ..... engine.

THere were a couple of times where i thought you were going to collect me... it wasnt really that fun.. and i can sort of see where SILVABULLIT is coming from. Would have been nice for him to hang around and chase andy and gav through the last lot of twisties..but his guts gave up so you cant hold that against him...If you are talking about driving outside your limits...i personally feel you were driving beyond the limitations of your vehicle, and i put forth your car overheating, cutting some grass and what not as evidence. But i'm not putting crap on you..and neither was SILVABULLIT.. i think he was just saying to have a bit of a think about stuff...be safer...

I've spoken with Andy after hte drive and he agreed that the stops were not in the best places.... we didnt get away till late..

The overheating was due to a faulty radiator. The grass was due to me choping a U turn, not from comming off the road.

I dont believe I was putting the car past its limits.

And I seem to recall a silver sportivo zipping past me on the right at least once.

As to the whole turbo vs NA thing...

Theres no reason why a NA car cant beat a turbo car. Ask pete. I dont see what the problem is... a turbocharger is just another preformance mod. its not like there cars are stock, and its not like they their greatly outpowered. The sportivo puts out how many KW at the fly stock? Im only putting out 139 at the fly.... Its not that much.

I kept letting you get away so I could have a bit of a hard run that's why I dropped back and was then braking hard up behind you on occasions as I was going a lot quicker and also just putting a bit of a gap to the cars behind.Hi mate, sorry for holding you up at Samford, but there was no way on Earth I was going to push it on those patchy wet roads, not only do I have a committment to me and my passenger, but the guys behind me. Andy was still in visual the whole time, and I was still driving enthusiastically for the conditions. Another reason to maintane a gap around Glorious and Samford is the number of stones that get flicked up on the ****ty roads there, I'm wise to that now since a few have come my way.

It's a pitty your tummy was a rumbling, because Andy and I gave it a good go through Mt Mee and particulary (for me anyhow) through Caloundra. It was some great driving after we got away from the wet roads later on, not to mention a nice lunch by the beach.

I look forward to you and your 'rolla mates coming on future cruises, I used to own a 4AFE myself. :p I mentioned to Ian on the day he shouldn't try to run up the front because his handling wasn't up to scratch. Let's hope when his car is up to scratch, he is too!

Perhaps one last thing to remember on a cruise too is when you're a guest you need to consider the regulars. Team grey always drives up the front in this order: Twilightprotege, BoostedBatman, Nate, Chicaboo, then whatever goes. Please don't think this rude, but I wouldn't invite myself up the front on a 'rolla cruise without asking one of the 'rolla guys if it's cool to break in first. Don't worry about my comments on your braking, just at times I had to brake because the guy infront of me needed to, and me not knowing your car or your familiararity with the wet roads, my passenger and I didn't know what to think.

Mind you I am no type of authority on AGT, so anything I say can be dissmissed accordingly. I just like keep with traditions and have a fun day only pushing it 8/10ths incase there is more than me on the road to consider on the day. And as it was on last weeks cruise, early in the piece there was much to be mindfull of.

PS: I passed a whole bunch of yas after we stopped in that carpark so I didn't get stuck behind the real slow pokes! :p

Cheers,
Gav.

I chose to pass you on an overtaking lane. Is that illegal? You were in the left lane and I was in the right. I can't see a problem with that apart from for some reason you didn't like me accelerating past you around a corner. After that I didn't see you pushing me after that so maybe my car handles better? After all i'm running lower profile tyres of a very good quality and have a good suspension set up.My car handled the corner with ease without endangering you or anybody else.I also do know those roads very well hence my ability to go at a quick pace and staying on my own side of the road.

As for the drags if you want to run me you can; If I beat you great and if you beat me good for you. But remembering that my car isn't overly modified(cat back exhaust and CAI) so if it makes you feel invincible then I'm happy for you. I just hope your car makes it to the meet without overheating it too much.

Gav.... no worries mate. I wasn't sure how fast you guys were gonna go hence my backing off then coming up on you quickly sometimes. I would've liked to have stayed and done the other bit of the cruise but wasn't keen on having to clean Indian off my leather seats :D As for your rules of cruising perhaps you should have made it known before we left so everbody knew. If I offended my apologies just on TOCAU cruises we have a leader then the faster(more spirited drivers!!) usually go next then back to the slower drivers. We then stop at a good parking point and wait for them to catch up.That way everyone picks their own pace and aren't holding faster people up which more often than not is the cause of accidents. We would be more than happy for you guys to attend one of our cruises when we next have one and I'll be sure to post up some details of when where.

Till then stay safe, be cool and don't overheat :p

Just another performance mod that adds to vehicle performance more than any NA mod I know of will... The point of the NA only thing is that NOONE with an NA car is going to be running 12s from either side on the day....and some guys with big boost would be able to. The awards (with the acception of the final shootout, which will be DYO, and 3 drivers selected by the team captains...) are not handycapped. So if we let the turbos in, they would clean up in just about everything you'd think....Also none of the QLD toyota guys are running boost of any sort and it would just not be cricket to let loose with big boost. If you were to beat SILVABULLIT, or anyone, it'd be said you did so because you had a huge advantage with boost, if this was the case or not. I'm sure you wouldnt want to win a race and then be accused of it being because of a mod and not because of your ability.

Myself and Buddha from the toyota forums came up with the idea, and in the very first minute of talking it out, we said no boost. This is something that isnt going to be budged on. Not for this drag night at least. Maybe if we do it in the future, and get enough interest, and are able to get enough cars to have categories, we'll have a boosted award...but at this stage the answer is going to be no..

HAVING SAID THAT .. you are welcome to show up. You are welcome to race ANYONE who will go up against you...you are welcome to come to the bbq and give me money for sausages, you are welcome to cheer on the mazdas.... and if you are consistant enough, and Mazda team captain (still undecided....prob andy) recons you have what it takes, and the toyota team captain (northy, not running because his stivo exploded...) agrees to allow a boosted car into the dyo shootout, you can have a go at helping us win the perpetual trophy...

Lordworm try CES racing at Meadowbrook(Loganlea) for quality exhaust work as this is where the cat back system for the Sportivo was desgined and manufactured. On a stock Sportivo it gains 9kw at the wheels which is pretty good and also increases the low to mid range torque too. Trevor is the man to talk to on 3200 2333. :)

I shall give him a bell..if only to try and source exhaust componants.. Twilight is going to hopefully weld the thing up for me, following extensive mods to the pacemaker header's merge point etc... not even 100% sure what this entails yet :) but no doubt i'll need a new cat, resonators and prebent pipe...so i'll add it to the list of phone numbers i have and give him a bell...

Mate....apologies all round
I never meant to really tick you off but seeing that things have gone that far...I am truely sorry.
I am a bit touchy when it comes to my car because as I said "I made the decision to pull it from the road" so that I had no choice to complete the project first.
You dont realise how difficult it is to go on cruise after cruise and various drag meets and the like knowing nothing other than the fact that you long to drive your car once more
I spent no less than 2 years researching and investigating the internet and the world of contacts that I have in order to consider this as a go'er.
I have copped a lot from other forums about this idea as they are all so quick and opinionated to TELL you that it cant be done. I am going to show them otherwise
Sure it would've been cheaper and quicker had I followed the crowd in the world of the KL and opted to turbo or supercharge* (*was the original intention) but I have always had a need to be just that bit different.
There are only a few cars in the kl-v6 world who have taken the time to push their engine past 220whp which is a shame when you think about the fact that this engine (well the ZE anyway) began its life with 200hp at the crank. There are also only 2 in the world I have been able to find that managed 280whp and I was disappointed by what they had done as I believed there to be soo much more development left inside this engine but the world of KL based forums are all to eager to deem you an "idiot" as "thats just not possible you..."
Once again Australia will slap their bare behinds!
Again I apologise that you just happened to be the 'straw' that broke the camels back.

I do think of you as a nice young man and wish you all the successes with your car and truely hope that in time you will sort all of your gremlins and have a wonderful SPT weapon in which to play daily.

I could sit here and justify reasons more and or give any other idea as to why we bingled but at the end of it all I tell you now its over...
Once again Ian youre a good bloke and please feel free to bombard me with any insightor problematic circumstances that you may have and I will endeavour to assist you
Cheers bud

Nice....

Reckon they will give it to me for $10?

Man one day everyone has to get together and go down and pitch in 40 bucks each or something and buy a 200 dollar car. Tow / Drive it to a padok somewhere and just bush bash the hell out of it. 10 mins each until it breaks! Then roll it down a cliff or something.

If we got a large enough following we could buy 3 ****b()x's and have a
race...

A Greddy supercharger kit on a 2zzge in a MR2 would be the goodies needed to be quick. For the uneducated the 2zz is what comes in the Sportivo and the Celica. MMM supercharged and a redline of 8500rpm in a MR2.....

Ya know, theres alot to be said for doing the *same old* conversion everyone does.

Its quick, realitivly painless, works, and parts and knowledge are readily availible.

bourbon

but see its us people who do the different that get a lot more of the looks and the AHHHHS of OHH LOOK WHAT HE/SHE DONE TO THE CAR... we do it then others start to do it...and the MR2 is a project car...ill still have the astina while MR2 is bein built and that will be a weekend car :p

where does the knowledge of conversions come from??? its from someone who gave it a shot one day and done it...and more people do it and it gets alot more well known...

You are right...standing on the shoulders of giants..its how improvements are made..

Especially if you are not mechanically savvy... do what other people have done, and then shoot for the stars over and above that...evolution, not revolution..thats the way i see it anyway...

My car will probably evolve mechanically along the same lines as yours (with subtle differences like 2.25 in exhaust instead of 2.5, short ram intake with cold air box sealed to bonnet scoop if i can ever afford the evo CF bonnet, etc...)

At least until I learn enough..and get enough dough to swap the engine out with the 2.3 from the SP23...and go huge boost :P (*dreams...*)

yeah it's all about difference, personalising your car.

gav you're still doing your own thing. you are too greg, you're just learning from my experience. the only thing that's likely to be the same is the whiteline sway bars.

my car will be more pimped up bling than yours tho...i appriciate a bit of rice..wonder how much those gull wing door conversions would cost??? .... i kid, of course

oh yeah, didnt think of udp, but the cam profiles will prob be slightly different again and the ems you'd prob go for the newer MT

I'll have to ask Pete to help me with my interior paint soon, I think I can do my own vinyl work though?

mt's not a problem - you just didnt stick it out and work it out! nor taken the time to go back to it! my car wasnt running properly for a week remember?

oil cooler isnt either - mine leaked and i'm not sure why, so i took it off because i was heading to sydney for drag warz only a few days later. doesnt mean yours will leak. i just decided to leave it off and use it on the crx. i bought the cooler kit before i decided to buy the crx and the astina was going to be racing more

ever gunna reinstall the MT? if not are you interested in selling it somewhere down the track?

Twilight: cams....slightly different as in bigger again? oh please say yes..nothing will **** the other half off more then overly lumpy cams!

the mt should be a straight plug in since it's set up the same as the 2L.

the exhaust cam will be the same, the intake i'd like to go slightly more lift, but keep the duration the same. try and get a little bit more air velocity happening

You don't drive your car in heavy traffic daily, you have the option of public transport. This is why the MT was a massive problem for me, I need my car reliably working everyday except for the odd wednesday. Not discussing that on here again after this, just remember that Anton's car spent many hours at Chiptorque with no positive result (and his wasn't as bad as mine). Not very encouraging for me, so the MT is the last thing on my to-do list.

Yeah oil cooler is ok, I can use that on the racing buggy when I get it. But when your's leaked I thought I'd shelve it until you worked your's out. :p

I'm thinking of trying out the JayCar fuel puter after I have the last perf mods in the car. If I can get it to work I will see what a GOOD dyno tune with it can do. :) After that time I will wonder about what to do with the MT. ;)

yeh, doing what andrew did with 2.25in exhaust and a few other fun bits..from what i've heard about the header mod, i could POTENTIALLY get 100kW with exhaust and intake alone (but this is theoretical and remains to be seen...)

the last 20kW will be taken care of with ITBs and higher comp pistons.. and an 8000RPM redline

Do you mean the dual runner intake? Yeah, just look at the kick when my VICS comes on in my dyno. Now imagine that with proper runners and not just runners to nowhere, noners...? :p 8000rpm? Nasty, Ouch!
