Not sure of his status as such. These two articles don't clarify if life support has been turned off and Bourne has passed away. Not sure whether to wish him a recovery or pass on condolences . . .

WTF happened to PB?? I caught the end of the rally coverage on the weekend, and they were all acting as though he'd died??? Did he have a massive prang, or just some other health related issue?
Either way:
1) Hope he recovers quickley
OR
2) Sad to see him go.
Guy in my cricket team last night (who's a rally nut) told me that he was on a reccy on Good Friday for a 'reach for the sky' rally or something like that - just a massive hillclimb. He was driving a forrester or something up the hill came round a blind corner and there was a range rover coming down the hill. Hit and the rangey went up and over the bonnet and into the cabin.
So sad that someone who loved his chosen sport so much and took so many risks and lived on the edge so much was involved in such a big acco just puttering around.
Apparently there was a heap of dust around at the time which didn't help either.
Any way you look at it, its a sad thing that has happend. :(

Hmmm, one word comes to mind:
Ouch

Totally agree.
Oh, and I've just read those articles, Sehnkahn. I think they have decided to turn off life support, so if he pulls through, he pulls through, if not, well...
So, he's not on life support anymore, but he is still alive in a coma (well, when the articles were written at least).

I hear that he'd passed away on the late night news last night.
One of australia/nz's best rally drivers gone in a tragic accident.

Yeah, one of the guys here at work heard that as well which is funny given that Possum's own website http://www.possumpwrc.co.nz says that he passed away at 12:58am Wednesday the 30th!
Very sad thing though. :(

Hmm, wierd. Could be the it took the doctor longer than normal to sign the death certificate. You're not dead till you get a certificate for it. Hope the exam isn't too hard
Not only a great driver, but a polite and patient man. Here's hoping Possum can rest in piece and swap stories with the likes of Ayrton Senna.
