now this might have been asked but I will go anyway.

my mate bought a SSSN15 5speed manual stock rock

but he was considering a SP20 but didn't really want to spend that much.
all alot slower then his mx-6 turbo- ( dam thing took out mine and 300Kw upgrade CV8) only thing was 3inch mandrel - rotary muffler, plus my boost mod- did wonders. Plus it had burnt rings use to burn oil under boost.

but we were contemplating

Quicker SSS N15 or Sp20 both manual etc I figure the SSS as torque is similar but I think the N15 is lighter being a less of a car and the SP20 gives away only a few KW's ?

I think the N15 will take out my family auto V6 astina with ease. but I wonder a KF non Ze hatch or hartop 5 speed I think weight would kill it.

I know IMO on the rolling from 2nd gear 50k's will show which car really is quicker.

But just wanted opinons
remember all cars stock - or pretty close. I gave N15 the intake noise with out too much fuss.

I just wonder?

Hmmmm... mx-6 turbo (circa 1990 I imagine) beating a 300kw Monaro? That suprises me. There must have been some serious boost & engine mods for that IMO, even if a commodore is a boat on wheels.

not much my custom boost wokr only 10psi
the real advantage was weight it was a povo pack with Not one extra on it.
it was 2Ws - had no abs - no sunroof no electric controls, no 4Ws

it was basily a 626 coupe with the turbo motor it was under 1200kg's

to make it worse he knew the owner of the Monaro he knew it had 300KW upgrade to it and well he was not only one surprised.
His mx-6 eat mine I ran more boost but I have way more weight.

your custom boost trick thingi - did you happen to just remove the stock boost controller? I did and it jumped up to 10 PSI, 12 in 4th and 5th.

nah I reworked the restricter and stock boost controller made it switchable between wastegate 6.5-7.5 depedning on gear to WOT 2nd to 5th 10psi almost flat only downed to 8psi last 1000rpm.
1st was about 8psi peck.

I can honestly say that a manual SP20 will just beat a manual N15 SSS Pulsar. My mate and I did a mini-drag on a closed road, i started to pull away from him slowly past 80.

Although the SSS's have the power (105KW at the fly), the SP20's have the torque from 2000rpm, just giving me the advantage. Both cars had exhaust and intake work.

that's what I was thinking originally
