Hi all

I originally posted this in the Lounge but was told its better here.

Do you guys in Sydney have weekly/fortnightly meet ups at various or same spot for chit chats about latest mods and life in general?

If not should we have them as they are a good way for new members to meet people face to face other than waiting for a cruise. Like when I'm bored at home, I just come out and there will be people there! Please tell me what you think. If there's already one going on in sydney tell me the day, time and place!

well maybe everyone interested could tell us which suburb u live in, or to be less personal, suggest a place close to your house and we could decide on a spot after that

i live in eastwood, but would be happy to go up to thornleigh maccas or down to gladesville, or somewhere near my house...

The closest well known areas for me are Liverpool, Fairfield and Parramatta. I wouldn't mind having weekly meets if others are interested :D

Cool cool Well i live in Stanmore which is far everyone else pretty much so I don't mind coming out just a little farther. Parramatta sounds like a common place so I would suggest there but if others have other suggestions please throw them on the table! :D I wouldn't mind cruising out farther than others but not too far! :p

I currently live near eastwood (beecroft) and yeah I would make an appearence every so often,
as long as it is not tuesday or wesdnesday, sunday arvos sound good, time to recoperate from Saturday night and nice cruisy cruise arvo and home for dinner, yeah that would suit me fine.

Weekly does seem a bit frequent.
I say monthly short cruise go to different pub or something for a drink or meal. (ie wisemans ferry, I love that drive but not really at night and bit far if you coming from south of parra)

If it is monthly people will be prepared to drive a bit further,

Parra and north east of there is good for me.

Parra is sounding like a common theme, so what we gunna do

prodigy
06-04-2006, 12:16 PM
Cool lazy sundays once a month sounds sweet! Now I'm fairly new here should someone else organise this who lives nearer to parra  If someone wants to nominate a good spot in parra to hang :p that would be superb! As for dates, would this sunday suit people or is it too soon?

skippy, great to meet a fellow breaks man! good onya! :D

ok guys and gals

lets have the first monthly meet

Date: 16th Easter Sunday
Time: 2pm
Location: Parramatte Regional Park, enter thru the Rose Garden entrance at the corner or Pitt & Macquarie Streets. There's a carpark on the right just as you enter the gate. I havent been there before so don't know if there's a parking fee.

If anyone would like to clarify about the carpark or if there's a better carpark elsewhere, please let us know. Otherwise does this sound good for all?

This is sounding good. but i dont know the park to well so if any one knows it then lets us know a place we can meet up in there. if not let me know before 2morrow n i could most likely go down n check it out n let everyone know where. but this all depends on how much i drink tonite and how sobber i am to drive. lol.

ok in the pic, thats the entrance i had in mind and just inside to the right i think theres a car park but not sure how big or full on a sunday. Hope this helps

papatonga
13-04-2006, 10:31 AM
if that is the entry point.

i think that it is only a one way road coming down along pitt street. pretty much you need to turn right from either argyle or hunter streets.

or turn left from the great western highway if you are coming out from the west

papatonga
13-04-2006, 10:33 AM
i'll probably go by some time before sunday to check it out

prodigy
13-04-2006, 10:38 AM
Yeah thats correct pitt st is a one way coming down from great western and then joins onto macquarie. Argyle and hunter are the best streets to get onto pitt if not from great western. If this is a bit hard for others we can select another carpark

papatonga
15-04-2006, 10:04 PM
alritey then

so the only way to get in is right on the corner of pitt and macquarie streets.

you need to be in the left most lane so that you can turn into the park...

i went for a quick check out tonight and it is quite a long drive around inside the park and there are heaps of parking spots. once you enter the carpark you will need to turn left.

i'll prolly get there just before 2pm to suss out parking spots as it could be full seeing that it is easter sunday. i would suggest driving with headlights on so that people can recognise the car and signal you to park or sumthin...otherwise, just look for a group of astinas
