Hey Guys might not of heard from me in a little while, been busy working and organising finances. After all of that ive ended up with this!

A 1993 Skyline R33 Gts25-T

It only has minor mods to it:

Lowered Stock Suspension
Monkey Warehouse FMIC
HKS Super Drager 3 1/2 inch dump exhaust 3" system
K&N Air Filter
Stock Internals and Turbo

Ive also got Tien Coilovers to be fitted to the car, and am now contemplating getting Apexi power fc.

The Car itself has been in Australia for 2 yrs and Im the 2nd owner here to have it, it has 145,000 odd kms on clock and she runs clean on 7psi!

Yer looks alrite. used to like them back a few years ago when not so many around. . Now for a skyline to catch my attention it has to be pretty sweet. So any future mods?? Id recomend dont be a ricer and put all your $$ into the engine and handeling and stuff getin kit...hahah Tommy.. Bout 2 months ago I picked up my friends R34 GTR Vspec2 Nur from the port of brisbane.. Straight 6 twin turbo... lets just say that the porsche 911 carerra who wanted to go us on the gateway motorway was smelling the sweet fumes of burnt premium. Thats power and looks sweet with full nismo carbon fibre diffusers and lips + 19" Gold BBS rims with the deep dish thats silver and $800 a tyre drag slicks from japan.. sad to say that because the tools in japan forgot to take the terminals off the battery the car died in bout 1 hour on old cleaveland rd. Fun to watch the electronic boost and engine stats on the onboard computer screen.

Ian

yeah i have had one for ages, it just got installed tonight :P.

Anyway as for tims car, yeah, been in it, its not slow... However I have never been a big fan of the skylines, there the absolute standard sports car (if your gona buy a fast car you buy a skyline) and I prefer the smaller lighter cars personally.

That being said its in good nick appart from a few dramas with the radiator / radiator fan there were no problems that I could find and the mechanic who we baught it off said there was nothing wrong with it... It runs very smoothly and my only gripe with it was that theres no log as to when the timing belt was last changed but it can be assumed that it was changed at 100 000 km's.

Im sure tim will have alot of fun in it :P hope to see him out on many a cruise, however with this move I think hes moving away from the mountaineering and more towards the drifting/street racing scene... still, random street cruises are fun.

Oh by the way, sir timmy, will we be seeing you on saturday night?

Nice dude,

But not very quick the speedo only goes to 180 mine goes to 240, hahaha I beat you.

My tip,
get rid of the spoiler they look awesome without it (not cheap however and it is there for a reason of course).

Happy boosting,

Happy boosting,

NO! leave it on! i reckon they look soooo good with it on!

and does is the 180 speedo thing a japanese thing? cause i think jap astinas only go up to 180 and the 'stralian versions go to 240.. maybe there are 2 many cars in tokyo and 180 is the speed u can drift before rolling..... kehe

but with a skyline i suppose it would be fun to watch the needle go off the speedo lol ;) ;)

bourbon
06-04-2006, 05:16 PM
nah man...the jap cars go way higher than 180...if my memory isnt playin games i think the 300zx Twin Turbo speedo goes to 280 or 300...

Fro-Daddy
06-04-2006, 05:20 PM
most have a speed cut @ 180km/h...

skippy
07-04-2006, 09:52 AM
Sure that 300ZX didn't have that put in?

And fro-dady you sure about that 180 limiter?

an r32gtr only had 180 speedo,

But yeah seeing the needle off the scale would always be fun,

"Sir do you know how fast you where going"
"no officer it only goes to 180 on the speedo"

bourbon
07-04-2006, 10:04 AM
skippy...one of the 300zx does have 300 on it im pretty sure... we sell a few at work...and it is a stock thing...

Most jap cars do only have 180 speedos and a speed limiter at 180 as well. Not sure whether it's law or a 'gentlemans agreement' like the 206kw thing.
There's exceptions to every rule of course. That reminds me, i've never tried the spare 180 BA cluster to see if it's got a speed cut.

Nice skyline. Is it a series 1?

I say carbon bonnet and black rims with a polished lip, and no spoiler (just a lip that makes it the same height at the sides)

my m8s R34 GtR Vspec 2 Nur skyline speedo goes to 280 from memory.. but than again its the very top model u can get(except from the NISMO 1 but thats not factory) hehe not cheap either second had he got for 115k

Wats the BA speedo i cant b botherd looking. i think its like 240 or 220 but doesnt it have like an electronic restriction?

Rupewrecht
07-04-2006, 12:34 PM
1.8 and V6 speedos both go to 240. And no, it doesn't ;)

skippy
07-04-2006, 01:39 PM
whats the car go to?

cause I work out redline in 5th to be about 240, but never actually tested it,

Rupewrecht
07-04-2006, 01:49 PM
well, members on here have done 205ish in a BA V6, and 205ish in a BA 1.8NA and 245 in a 1.8T

AGT doesn't condone speeding/only on a private road blah blah blah

skippy
07-04-2006, 02:11 PM
Did they say if that was redline?

Rupewrecht
07-04-2006, 03:22 PM
the 205kphs aren't hitting redline, but the 1.8 was struggling to do 205 so it's unlikely it'd go much faster.

All very well to say gearing will do it, but wind resistance really hits around 180kph.

As for the 245kph, not sure, but i'd guess it is close!
