Just like to share my excitment with everyone that....

I graduated from Uni yesterday with a B Arts with the Diploma of Education! It was such a great feeling to walk across stage in front of all my friends, collegues and teachers and accept my degree!! + wearing the gown and hat was just a bonus! And no, we don't throw our hats in the air nemore ;) lol So I am now a qualified Primary School teacher from Macquarie Uni. I am so excited to be in such a fantastic and rewarding career :)

AND to add to that, last Thursday I was offered my 1st full time position at Newbridge Heights Primary School (Chipping Norton, 15mins from Liverpool) to be their Kindy teacher till the end of the year!! This is an opportunity that does NOT come by regularly, so with a big grin from ear to ear I was quick to accept the position!! :D :D :D

Luv Leigh :)

^^^ Oh that's so kewl, Pete! And i agree about the money thing! It rocks actually getting PAID to teach now ;) Can't wait to hav a good chat w/ Amanda :)

Thank you sooooo much guys for the lovely comments! It's been such a tough time getting through Uni and life over those 5yrs, and to finally receive a degree that says "it's over!" is the greatest relief i've felt in such a long time! u feel like a new person, quite re-energised and full of confidence. I recommend anyone thinking bout going to Uni or TAFE to definitely do it. It's not easy, but in the end when you reflect on your achievements, you really do feel proud :)
