Hey,
Just curious on the ammount of interest on the Aluminum Speedo Rings. (I've seen them called Egg Rings on this forum). I've seen the speedo rings that some people have and they look hot. Simply put I want some.
From what I've heard from people these are extremely high quality rings. They are made from real aluminum and are high gloss polished.

[although these look different, they are the same sort of rings as seen above]

BJ Face Lift
Additional Pictures
From these pictures you can see the quality of the rings. Now the rings are suitable for the following models.
BA 4 Ring
BA 3 Ring (Face lift)
BJ 3 Ring
BJ 3 Ring (Face lift) [In this model, the rings don't reach the bottom as seen in the last picture]
On the club323f.com (UK) site they have a GB going on them with the following offer.
Got this deal of the guy from Astina DK if anyone is interested
5 sets – 10% discount
6-10 sets – 15% discount
11-20 sets – 20% discount
I have contacted the owner and he said he would extend us the same deal.
For price guidelines, they would cost about $100 ea. normally.
At full discount that would be about $80 AUD. There will be further discounting due to the lack of tax [VAT].
Let me know what you think! Please specify 4 ring or 3 ring.

Update
That’s okay, please let me know when you have a sufficient number and contact me, then I will find a good price to you, the cheapest way is probably to ship the rings to one person and let him distribute them, please notice that I can give you a really good price since Australia is outside the European Union (you probably knew that already) and I can remove VAT, so I can give you a further discount depending on the number of rings (approx additionally 10-20%)

Well I'm from Adelaide, but I realise only two [currently active] members are from there. So if we have significantly more NSW or VIC group buy members, then I'll ship it there instead. Trying to keep the cost down for everyone.

Okay I talked with the owner again, and I have some more pictures and information. There are two types available afaik, the old style (mine :) ) and the new style. (Face lift and maybe BJ.. gonna look into it)
The second styled picture (Face lift) is a poor picture from what I'm told. When you see the new pictures you'll understand
Will post the extra pictures when my ftp server wakes back up
After reading the thread, let me specify it, the rings are all made of real aluminum and are high gloss polished, so there is no chrome or aluminium I only have 1 kind.

Posted the extra pictures. The rings fit the BJ early model well. In the last picture up there you can see the gap that the BJ face lift model has.

n/p Chimy, thanks for the interest anyway.
Right at the moment, we are looking at ~ $76 before shipping. Not too fussed if we don't get the extra people (although it would be nice) but it would only drop the price about $6... Let me know when you people want to stop waiting for more people and go ahead with this.

originally you said $80.00 minimum price, but is currently at $76.00, so if more peps got in (including myself,) how low could/would the price be then please?

I'll give you the specs on how I'm working it out so you can see where I come from.
449 DKK ~ $100 AUD (http://www.google.com.au/search?q=449+dkk+to+aud)
$100 AUD
up to 20% discount would lower it to
$80 AUD
further discount (I've been using 10%) due to the lack of european tax (VAT) would then lower it to
$72 AUD
then it would be plus shipping etc.
The 10% VAT could be higher or lower I'm not sure, Rene just told me it would be 10% - 20%.
If you wish, I'll get the exact VAT ammount then I'll be able to lock in prices for the different discount ranges.
As you see this is still an EOI, so you can put your name down and we will confirm everything again before I go ahead for sure.

Well, I see no reason not to go with this guy instead.
Hello James,
I do not know why the price on those rings can be as low as that. I do run a business and have to make a living of it, so I do not normally see Ebay shops (nor do we have a Danish Ebay) as competitors.
I am willing to give you a good price depending on number of sets, and remember you can detract further 20% VAT from the prices.
Med Venlig hilsen / MFG / Yours faithfully

At full discount + removal of VAT we still wouldn't get close to the Ebay price of roughly $43 AUD (http://www.google.com.au/search?q=26+EUR+to+AUD) before postage.
I asked mira to get an estimate on postage for us.

hmmm if youse were to use the ebay lad, would that mean theyd be available for bgs? i noticed theyve got a picture of one? if so i may be interested ... also may get others involved in this gb?
There are many different types of these rings. You have to specify the type when purchasing :)
Update: Received an answer, telling she is not sure but told me she sent smth. to US for about 15...20 Euro (incl. insurance). I think that is pretty much. Maybe I can receive all those goods for you and forward? I think that will be cheaper.

I'm not even sure this seller would be able to give us a discount, but depending on the shipping, it may be beneficial to ship to one address.

fair enough ... if it ends up goin down that path, ill most probably get a set for the BG. (as far as i can tell, and correct me if im wrong but its gonna work out cheaper anyway without the discount). I would also be fine if they were all sent to an adelaide/melbourne address then id pay the extra to brissy... this would be the most cost effective. but alot of this hangs on how much the inital postage will cost.
mira may be onto something with the forwarding ... $32.85AU postage seems alot for something that looks to be small and light ... they prob know someone at the post office
hope this all makes sense ... brain is only just still working ... hate uni assignments
Shipping for 15 ... 20 Euro means all sets together :D
