Transferring funds into wrong account

Well i decided to be good son and help my mom transfer funds online from her St George account to her CBA credit card via BPAY.

Silly me didnt realize that her automated BPAY setting wasnt changed to show her new Credit card number after CBA terminated their "Bankcard"

So basically i transfered monies to a number which isnt valid anymore.

Can anyone tell me whats gonna happen to the money??is it gonna bounce back to her St George Account??

yeah should just bounce back, normally takes 48 hours to return

if not, you could also just give the bank a call just to give them a heads up

update :

i rang up cba.
guy goes, it will bounce back on monday.
he was a fob and didnt sound too sure so i rang up again.

girl tells me even thou the card has been cancelled, it will sit as a CREDIT on the old number and that they can transfer the funds to the new CC once it shows up.

Rang up again just to be sure and another girl said same thing so its all good!!!
