Funny story from after Heathcote.

After leaving the drags, I stopped at Heathcote for a drink at one of the servo's and proceeded to head back to Melbourne. About 10mins out of heathcote we passed a cop car on the opposite side of the road, and I thought he was on speed camera duty, as I went passed him, he looked intensely at my car, but didn't turn or put on his lights. About 2 mins later he came flying up behind me, no lights and sat there for about 30secs, then turned on the lights. I thought
"Crap, I wasn't even speeding" So I got out the car, handed him my license and asked the usual, "how fast was I going?"
To my suprise he said
"I'm not getting you for speeding"
Now I'm even more worried as he is looking at my car and license, then says that I'm not the person they are looking for? Sounded strange, but I relaxed a little and started chatting to him. He eventually asked if I had gotten petrol in heathcote, and I told him I hadn't, although I needed fuel. Finally he told me what it was about, someone had done a runner from a servo, in a blue car matching my cars description, heading in the same direction I was at about the same time. Talk about getting a guy worried over nothing, my heart was going at warp speed for the next 10 minutes!
My last comment to him, as I got back in my car was
" I've only got 1/4 of a tank, so if I stole some fuel, it wouldn't have been much at all!!"
He laughed and wished me a safe trip back to melbourne. :o :o

What I didn't tell him was there was NO WAY I would pay the price they were asking for the fuel in heathcote either, hence why I didn't get fuel there!
